OPk, wtf, why is everyone jus hatin on me cuz i said that stuff was pretty basic. I mean, it is pretty good, but its basically anything that anyone can do. im not saying im judging that all the work they've done is just basic, im just saying that I, MYSELF, have seen better, AND I HAVE ALSO CREATED TERRAIN. and im not saying that im better at it, im just saying that i've seen better, So I apologize for saying what I said. pinch.gif

From what I remember, SS_Dark-Marine was the one who started seriously doing space terrain first. I've never been partial to it (Although I've tried a little of every terrain) because there was always some small error with whatever I made on it.

I for one like the bridge down the mountain. happy.gif

these days im straing on my terrain there harder then you think.. well to turn out good atleast..

the best thing i made so far is a really long bridge... and its bigger also...

i know how to do like basic terrain what i mean is like not using like thoes blocky thing to make my mountain look bigger

i still dont get how to do water fall even though i didnt try it..

blah i just dont know how to make like thoes mountains look bigger..
you know how you guys make some terrain the height of 2 mountains how do you do that...

ADDITION:
whoops nvm i just read some other post and it tells you how to do it and i already knew that part i guess its just practice trying to make it look more smoother... becuase even if i make higher cliff they still look blocky like in the conner thats the hardest part for me tongue.gif

They become easy as you do more. Beleive me, most of my peices take little more than an idea and 3 minutes. wink.gif

I could never stick with an idea and little more than 3 minutes. 30 seconds or less. That's my motto.

Ok, time for a rating... 8/10
Report, edit, etc...Posted by glytchur on 2005-10-25 at 22:48:05
lol, overall rating in all his terrain... around a plump 7.75/10
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Rantent on 2005-10-27 at 02:15:55
Overall: 8/10
Originality: 9/10 That bridge down the walls was pertty cool.
Complexity: 6/10 They were pretty broad areas mainly
Concept: 10/10 This stuff could really inhance space and twilight terrain.
Sprite Placement: 9/10 In places there seemed like the sprites were out of place, but mostly they blended with the terrain around them flawlessly.

He usually rates every piece, but most are under 4.

lol, so true...
after seeing woodens work and examining some of it, taking it apart just to put it back together, i realized how good he made his stuff how he used every bit of the tileset that would go to make it better, and i noticed a few places in the jungle tileset that has some very useful pieces for making cliff things which really helped, and ill put them in my *new* cliff tutorial which hopefully will be pinned this time...
and after seeing rantents work and woodens work and making some pretty good new terrain myself and after seeing a bunch of noob things in jungle i see why he gives such low ratings... i prolly would too if i wasnt so nice...

and i want to see him try some other tilesets cuz so far hes only done stuff in jungle (i guess for his rpg)...

hey marine y do u always take screenshots from a map editor not in game?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kamikaze.Kow on 2005-10-31 at 12:29:36
They were interesting to see, Space and twilights are OK tilesets, personally they just seem too dirty to me.. (not sure what that means.. so don't ask.)
I couldn't rate them fairly because there is so little space and twilight terrain to base it on, except for Theoretical's twilight pieces, but still I like em.

At Ease Marine..

all i gotta say is -- that one of the bar-- is fkin--- SWEET that is the coolest terrain i have ever seen, im not gunna lie, dont let some weak sauce like woodenfire get u down about ur maps, map making is about what u want to create, not what fat kids think is good o.O (this is my payback for u dissing on countdown defense woodenfire ><) gG

quite possibly the most basic terrian I have ever seen, any person who is new to this type of terraining can easily do what you did here. No skill or artistic edge was involved in creating those peices.
