I'm pretty sure Sayoka meant, what purpose does AcE serve. Do they fight crime? do they fight terrorists? are they a terrorist organization? ect.

Oh, oh I see. They can do either one based on what they believe is right. If at the time they believe the government is doing something wrong, then they will be against the government, if at another time they believe what the terrorists are doing is wrong, then they will be against the terrorists. They are usually neutral, but sometimes they'll disagree with some side and be against it...

Boyscout, sorry about the long posts I just think of more and more to say as I type and I end up taking like fifteen minutes to post, because I think of so much stuff. Anyhow you mean like RPG/Bound/Arena/Whatever?? If so it's an RPG I suppose. You play the roles of myself and my friends, except this is more of a demented version of what we actually do lol. Anyhow, the purpose is to just do what the AcE organization tells you to do without questioning. You actually get a salary based on how well you do the operations they assign you. In the end I think I will have a score like it will say Good Job you have beaten the game, Your score is 6.6/10 or whatever. I think it would be a cool thing to do, and it might make people want to play it again to beat their previous score. Did I answer your questions or did you mean something else?
P.S. I tried to cut down the length of this post.

Yeah, I thought about that, it sounds good, like you get a mission score of Good/Bad. Then based on that you get a different mission so missions would branch out like
1
/\
2 3
/\ /\
4 5 6 7
This would be really hard to do though, I mean it would take a lot of planning. Maybe it would just work more like you would skip a mission if you did good.
Example: Left side stands for doing good on a mission
1
/\
2 3
/\ /\
4 5 2 6
So doing badly would mean you had to do an extra mission? Sound good? Can't think of anything else right now seeing as it's 1 AM.. I'll try to think of more tomorrow.

Woops my little tree graph didn't work, the slashes look different in the preview thing. :-\.

Hehe smile.gif, Oh sort of Off-Topic, but I'm happy about it so I'm putting it up. My hockey team just a won the tournament w00t.gif w00t.gif w00t.gif !! We schooled some kids I hate too smile.gif. Anyhow back on topic. Yeah maybe less splits. Maybe I could have it so that depending on how well you did the team might stick together or split apart for more solo missions smile.gif.

T-MaStAA in reference to you winning, good job. The point of the game has been described through out all of what I said. You basically work for AcE in an attempt to become a better fighter and still doing something useful. AcE is basically a training area for people who are already elite fighters and need to become the best of the best for some future job. Perhaps bodyguard, Monster-Fighter (This is a fantasy world, and I couldn't come up with a better word for it, don't make fun of me happy.gif ). Does that help?

Yes, but you can make it seem more real for an RPG that is supposed to be more realistic. smile.gif

Okay this is back in production sort of, I sorta dropped off on making it, but now I am again. I'm designed the jail from which you have to save the headmaster right now. I'm still trying to think of a good way to make multiple floors, I don't want to make an elevator, because then you can skip floors. Perhaps I could make an elevator but you wouldn't know which floor the headmaster was on smile.gif.

Edit: Sorry for double posting, I needed to refresh the topic. Besides after like two weeks it hardly counts.

that seems great i like it.. btw ... for elevator make it only 2 story lol hahah.. donno...

and also is there going to be reward and stuff.. for fininshing mission and etc?

and i expect difficulty to get harder and stuff..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by NerdyTerdy on 2005-11-17 at 18:39:31
Of course the difficulty will get harder. You will also have to find secrets, which are pretty obvious, but if you're not paying attention they won't be so obvious. Like to get to level two you have to watch a secret scene with a man dying. It gives you the ten more experience needed to level up. The first mission will be doable as only level one, but it will be really hard. Becoming level two will make it immensely easier. Also I don't think it will be that split off, I think it'll be more like

1
/\
2 3
/ /\
3 4 5

If you did bad on mission one you would have to do mission two, but if you did good you could just skip to mission three, and you would get a better score, or something. Maybe a higher salary, for working for AcE?

GAH, COME ON PEOPLE I NEED SUGGESTIONS!!!

Okay now that I got that out, I would like to say, I finished the jail, it has three stories (I know kinda lame). You start out on the roof and you descend into like a main area with five mech guards that you must fight off. Then there are like three optional mech guards to fight that I'd suggest doing if you have enough health later. On each floor the elevator is guarded by two mech guards. Then there are three more guarding the area where you'll see the first cells. After that more towards the back are two high security places with five mech guards each, one with double the health of the others. The headmaster will be in one of these two heavily guarded areas. After you have retrieved Cid you must return to the roof where you will return to AcE via airship. I also made it so when you start the mission where you go to the jail you load up into the airship, then you are in an area where you can do stuff until the airship arrives at the jail. All in all this mission turned out well smile.gif. I think the rewards for missions may be based on how many of the people you kill in the mission. If you only kill say like 14/30 of the enemies in a mission then you will have done poorly, thus you will be forced to do another mission, for two reasons. One so you can gain the experience you lost by not killing all of the enemies, and two as punishment sort of for doing badly. The map is 256x256 so I'll have plenty of room to add in optional missions and stuff. After a while AcE may say that the characters are doing well enough that they can go do freelance missions where they'll like encounter an area and have to do a mission for that area. Like if somebody says their house and family is being attacked by a hoarde of demons then you will have to follow them and help or you will get ranked lower.

I need ideas, it would be really helpful if someone could suggest an idea for the second mission that goes along with the plot of the story sort of.. It's still sort of flexible.
