just do this dammit. if it's corrupted though, like battlekruser says, then you are screwed. then even unprotecting it won't do anything, it will be corrupt. just check the backup file like we said instead of trying to do something that the whole sen community looks down upon unless its the only way. you want a way out? here it is. you don't need to unprotect just try this PLEASE.
