erm.....ya, i have a system too that is PERFECT for this. I'm using it in my Resident Evil 4 map. It is an ammo/firing system. It takes about 14 triggers, a pylon, a gateway, and some civiallians as bullets and medics as clips. and so when an enemy gets in range there is 2 locations centered on you, 1 is where the bullet gets create. The other is your range, when an enemy is not in range you may still shoot but your bullets fly in front of you, if an enemy is in the range location the 3rd location is centerd on them, thus giving the Bullet (Observer) a place to go and when the 2 are at the same location it kill the bullet and 1 enemy there biggrin.gif

dont forget the preserve triggers biggrin.gif

okay here are my comments on ur system

1. nice system, its cool u thought it up
2. it would be weird having a observr flying around the map with big ass bullet explisions
3. it would be a bore. players want to shoot and kill not shoot slow ass observers across the map

Shooting observes? We are not going to become Robin Hood now are we? I would stick with a different system since bullets don't normaly blow up in people's faces.

o lol didnt take into account the multibullets, and u know u can speed up observers right? they aren't slow when u give them the up biggrin.gif
and no its not a bore when u play it where u shoot like that BECAUSE IT SEEMS MORE REALISTIC BECAUSE U DONT ALWAYS HIT EACH SHOT. o yes josh, the bullet get removed if it hits and the enemy explodes not the observer tongue.gif

Really a gridsystem is much faster =) but i doubt Viz wanna go that indepth. He has nice ideas and features which is main thing.

hmmm, this sounds like a good arcade style shooting system, ill keep this in mind for another map. but moogle is right, im not in the mood to go through testing and triggering for something like this. Its a good idea Duce but ima stick with my firing System

yes grid is better although I really dont feel like spending an entire day on about 36 triggers, and yes although grid system is faster, it has some MAJOR glitches such as a unit moving and not becoming detected and making the bullet fly out into space. But none the less, you'll see what i mean when i say "The system I made is great" if you ever play my RE 4 map when it comes out....

Yes, Grid maybe buggy but still good. I'll wait see your system. As Viz said he isnt in mood, even if he was would have change map so much which can be hassle -_-; But that be good see =) a arcade shooter with it. Well we see Predalien i think name was in map?

Cant remember name but (DB)Baal & I used it in our AvP: Total War map was based on Aliens vs Predators vs Marines. -_-; i'll have upload it n show u when i get home at work right now doing nothing.

Predalien
Predaliens are adult Aliens that come from Predators instead of humans. Predaliens are very large, very durable, very powerful, but move relatively slow. They, unlike the human-Alien hybrids, cannot engage in a jaw attack, and so are often at a loss for effective ways to regenerated health; although in Primal Hunt, the Predaliens gain the ability to use a jaw attack. The Predalien is strong and can take a serious beating, but it is very slow. Using the pounce is particularly important here.

sounds right, anyways zombie i can actually release a demo tommorow, it shows off the systems, and the game. I havent got started with the story or terrain yet but i've completed all of the systems. happy.gif

I would agree. Some peope, like myself, have the trigger viewer and can see the triggers without opening the map. I am not going to do it but some people might do this and copy the systems... and that = chair.gif

so what, its not like i have something revolutionary in this map, so wat if they copy my systems, its not like their stealing the map. and talking about stealing, im gonna protect this map just incase, i would prefer u dont spread this map, its just a demo.
