Right now I am at my Relatives house in Vancouver, Canada (good thing they have internet here.)
The people here aren't very friendly at all. Neither the asians nor the whites would give any eye contact. Usually back in my hometown in Austin, Texas, everyone there was benevolent and warm. We'd always greet each other, and whenever, lets say we were in somebody's way in a very tight hallway or something, we'd exchange looks and we'd say "excuse me," or "sorry." Whites, blacks, latinos, asians, we were all friendly.
Very unlike here. I get this feeling of coldness whenever I'm in some area with lots of people. Several years ago, my mom would get into a couple of arguments with the people here because they were extremely unfriendly and rude. Even among the asian population here we still don't feel as though we are bonded together.
It's unbelievable how there's just so much discrimination and racism in this small esoteric world. Even if there is no sign of discrimination, there will always be this feeling of coldness wherever we go.

hm when i went to vancouver i didnt really have a feeling that everyone was rude and stuff. but then again you might be in a differnt part than i was.

Affirmative action encourages REVERSE discrimination, which is something odd to think about. If normally Black person = white person in skill, AA makes it so Black person > white person in value to the company.

I 'descriminate' idiots quite a lot.
I dont 'descriminate' people who arn't smart, I 'discriminate' people who can't take it when I tell them to please move because they are in my way on the staircase tying their shoe and I'm being pushed from behind and they walk up and start talking crap and trying to start a fight.
Those, I doubt anyone has any problems descriminating these people.
No one should say 'It's not their fault. They're just not bright'.
They had a choice, there are plenty not bright people who don't turn out like that.
I don't mean anything bad, but I've noticed it IS mostly in the blacks, though there are plenty whites like that too (not many asians).
The fact that it is usually the blacks that annoy me and act retarded has made me 'descriminate' them a tiny bit, but I always give them a chance to show me that they're not like the ones to annoy me.
I think it is mostly like this because blacks live in areas where there are no good schools, or have uncaring parents, or are too poor to go to school (doesn't happen these days I think).
I think the main cause is uncaring parents, because I see plenty of smart people in my school, black or white (an asian classmate has highest average ), and I think those parents were uncaring because their parents were uncaring.. I'm not sure where it started, though.
I think anyone who doesn't have a 100% perfect stable god-like mind descriminates to some extent, and I doubt anyone does.
