I believe that shouldn't be a problem. The map will be designed for 4 vs 4 play, and if all 4 players in team are complete newbies then they are supposed to lose anyway tongue.gif
The ups will give small bonus damage/armor. And if you know that your opponent will get ups for killing you it is in your interests to survive, so this would increase the tactical side of gameplay. Players must think how to take enemy down most efficient instead of blind running into fire hoping to kill something.

For posts #10 and #13...

#10: Lower the kills to 5 because 10 takes too long. Yes we need upgrades to make the game more interesting.

#13: I think you should have other units too. I think the Ghost can have 1 attack and 0 armor while the Marine has 2 or 3 attack and 0 armor. Just for advantage purposes.

For the Offensive Slot maybe a Support Team (2 HTs?)

Defensive Ideas:

- Science Vessel with low health (Command Ship?)

- 3 Dragoons /w Range upgrade and a Tank. Tank would do 0 damage, and when Sieged turn into a Shield Battery?

I think the terrain is fine, or you could put that terrain all the way across the top of the screen. I think that looks better than a rectangle.

Air units wouldn't work, ppl would just fly and fool around the map.
The shield battery need a pylon I believe bleh.gif but idea is great.

you could have a robot team with goliaths n stuff?

and you could make the suicide team really strong and have them be a spell for some other team instead

Donno, in my opinion suicide team is the best Defence team. They have high damage and burrow. You borrow one in one of the hot points and when like 5 zeels come you unborrow and kill them all with one attack. Besides you don't lose anything when you suicide, if you lose them all by suicide not shot then enemy get nothing and you can respawn anyway biggrin.gif

Anyway, almost every group has weak point and strong points, like if enemy is holding his base with 2 heavy support teams just go with spy and lock them down...

I am quite sick today, and probably will be sick few more days, so release may delay...

Unfortunately, I will have to replace Heavy support team with something else. The shield battery just cannot be spawned in much places. Also the enable trick just doesn't work.

Ok, I am now well and can finally get working on my map. Well, expect the party fury Im falling in tongue.gif Actually friends are coming with beer to my place while I write drunk.gif ...
Anyway, I am done with specials and almost done with flag and scoring triggers, so It's very little left till I start with kill displays. After that I think I will release public beta for balancing purposes and bug fixes biggrin.gif

Also I chaged the terrain a bit after several tests with big units wink.gif

It's about a time to reveal your suggestion ideas if you have any, because I doubt that I will make really big changes after release.

Wow dead good job so far. I like what you did with the terrain. This map has potential and it seems very interesting. Even thought the trigger work won't be compolicated i'm sure you will make this map really fun. Good job man.

I agree, that triggers are not too complex in this map. But I am tired of making maps with 1500+ complex triggers and after all someone says that map is boring blushing.gif .

Anyway, it looks like this map is coming out really fast, probably in a week biggrin.gif

OK I have decided to not make the display kill system because it will radically increase map size. I will spend some time and try to balance the game instead. I tested all functions and they seem to work ok.

Hey I have a map with the same idea but CS related. Here Counter-Strike: Newage Terrorists ... It's a little buggy but pretty fun in full game...
