CTF StarFort[/center]
I love to play Capture-The-Flag maps on B.net but to be honest I haven't seen any really good CTF map. I have tried to make a good CTF map since I begun making maps but I have net only for a half year so I always tried to make computer AI for them. In the matter of fact I never made any good CTF map either.
Starcraft Fortress gameplay will be based on tactical thinking and teamplay. You can't win if you don't cooperate with your teammates or if you blindly run into fire. there are several ways to the flag so good tactical thinking and excellent teamplay is essential in Starcraft Fortress.
[Progress]
« Done » Triggers done:
- Spawn triggers
- Sentry/teleporter/other special abilities
- Flag triggers
- Kills to cash for upgrades, I will use SCtrigger for this because it's 15 kills=1gas max 10 ups...
« NOT done »Ideas, I am very open to suggestions about "not done" stuff. Little less but also open about done stuff
Triggers to do:
- Kill display triggers, this is gona be the hardest part and I will probably make it last.

[Specifications]
« Players » minimal players for conformable game would be 4. But It is highly recommended to play 4 vs 4! game experience may change during full game
« Map tileset » Space, probably the best tileset for CTF map...
« Map size » 128x96. the battle field is about half of 96 height, the other half is unit selection sections and upgrade buildings.
« Type » Player vs Player Capture-The-Flag tactics game
[Features]
« Player Interface » Pick a special pack of units. And defend your base or try to capture the enemy flag. After death you can pick another pack or the same and respawn immediately.
« Something new? » There probably isn't too much new stuff that can be added to CTF game while keeping it simple and fun for players, which is my highest priority for this map.
However I will add a new system that displays kills, like in Half-Life games "p1 kills p2" and such.
[Unit packs]
There will be 2 teams and 4 forces. Each team will have Defence and Offence force. Unit pack options will differ for each force. 2 players in each force.
« Defence packs » - Engineer (SCV) + 500 mins [can build 2 sentry turrets, cost 250]*
- Sniper team (4 ghosts)
- Front line squad (2 goliaths + SCV) + 200 mins [can build sentry and repair goliaths for mins]
- Artillery squad (reaver + 2 marines)
- Heavy support team (3 dragoons)
- Suicide team (4 infested terrans) + burrowing
*Sentry turrets will probably be sieged tanks, with high damage but limited to long range.
« Offence packs » - Scout (vulture) + 3 mines and speed upgrade
- Melee squad (5 zealots) + speed upgrade
- CTF team (4 hero marines + probe) + stims and 200 mins [probe can build teleporters, cost 100]
- Spy (Hero ghost + probe) + lockdown and cloak and 200 mins [going under cloak costs 220 energy]
- Assault team (4 firebats + 2 medics) + medic spells, no stims
- Support team (2 hero templars + probe) + psi storm [cost 80]
Note: Only probes and SCVs can carry the flag.
