But why discount that story? Belief in the Bible as being true shows a measure of faith, but then to go and say it isn't completely true? Besides, personally, I believe that there's more to that story than meets the normal reader.

there has been archaeological studies where they see the fossilized footprints of humans along with dinosuars going up a mountain. this suggests many things that humans and dinosuars lived at the same time and since they were running up a mountain suggests a flood. :0

There is Much evidents of a flood there is records of finding wood from a big arch from Noahs time but theres not really enough hard evidents to prove it but if you look at whats around you, you would know considering the earth went into a huge flood much of earth's land mammals were killed but i really dout ALL of earth was flooded.
Think about it, It is PROVEN Jesus existed and Showed Many people of his miracles and such, The Romans viered of people switching to cristianity so they killed jesus.

Great flood did happen, but many religions talked about it. Christianity is not the only one. Nor the oldest.

The bible may or may not be true, but it is not a hoax. The people writing it sincerely believe what they write to be true.

First of all, no I don't believe in god (although I do belive religion is an important part of society). Now that we have that cleared, do you think most of the things in physics are true?
Well since most of you probably do I'm gonna ask you how many parts of physics are theories and hypotheses. Just because things haven't been proven doesn't mean they are not true. Some of these theories may turn out to be false, does that mean they are hoaxes?
Believing that the bible isn't true is not the same as believing that it is a hoax. For the bible to be a hoax you would need to belive that the people who contributed to its creation were maliciously creating something so thy could laugh at people afterwards. And if you believe that go ahead and vote yes, but most of the writings were written well before the bible was created and not by people who believed jesus was the messiah. And many of these documents have been modified very little over the past 3000 years (dead sea scrolls).
And for those of you who are attacking the crediblity of the bible you picked a terrible spot to do it. There is a lot of proof that a massive flood did happen possibly around the time that noah's ark supposedly happened. There are for more obcious spots too look at. Jona getting eating by a whale, god stopping the sun in the sky and many other supposed miracles performed by god and jesus.
Anyway the bible IS NOT a hoax because it was not intended as a joke.

I am Roman Catholic and therefore I will obviously say that it is not fake. Although sometimes I don't really understand what they are saying in the bible because the logic is different from the society that we live in now.

I could understand hating Atheists and all that, but why Gays? I am christian too, but not Catholic, and I don't find much of a reason to have such hatred against them.

Im catholic and I don't know if my church is special or something but its just we won't marry gay couples becuase together they cannot create life. That goes for normal marriages too, if the two don't want kids then the catholic church won't marry them.
i think they are discriminate because marriage should be between a man and a woman. not of the same sex.
however i do not believe the bible even talks about homosexuality
I think it is a hoax, as l am go for more of the scientific evidence. They had this show on about moses and the israelites crossing the red sea and how much they exagerated it was very interesting if you see an add for it l suggest you watch it but sorry l forgot the name of it.
