Maybe it's tough love, then. Loving someone does not mean giving them what they want and making them happy all the time. I've been in plenty of situations that made me curse the maker, but I always come out better because of it. Therefor, no struggle = no growth.

Well, if you think about it, everything does happen for a reason. Something caused that event to take place; there is a reason for why it took place.
There is a reason as to why you are alive. Your parents created you.

I know thats not what you meant by the question, but its a way of looking at it.

And fate? We'll, it's impossible to say if there is fate or not. What has happened, happened. Period. You can debate whether our lives are dictated by choice or a pre-planned destination, but what you will find is that there is no point because there is nothing you can do about it. What would happen if we knew everything was pre-planned? Nothing, because we still wouldn't be able to control our fates, because we still wouldn't know what would happen. Yes, we would realize what we are doing was going to happen no matter what and we couldn't do anything about it. We still wouldn't know WHAT we were going to do though.

If everything was free will then there is nothing to worry about. It is just like we have been living now; either with the knowlage that we have free will or the illusion that we portray for ourselves. Either way, it doesn't matter.

With out counting the way dark pointed out, there really isn't too much of a reason why most the things happen in this world. People make up stupid reasons why stuff happen. It's usually in the sense that something more powerful than you made it happen. That kind of reason is purely religious, and is beyond wrong. If you want a religious debate, go read the past threads.

think of anything and there will be a reason behind it. it might not always be a good reason but it doesnt have to. fate = everything happens for a reason.

Why would we go back and edit? Because I proved how we are two seperate people and have witnesses to prove it, yet you still defend the indefensible. what are you 5? We both said you were 12 because its an OBSERVATION. Usually if multiple people state the same observation, it is true. (I.E. You are drinking sprite, Person 'A' states that the drink is colorless. Person 'B' also states it is colorless. Therefore the most logical solution is that the sprite is in fact colorless.)

I don't really believe in fate or stuff like that. I don't know why really, I don't believe in relidgon might be some of the reason. It doesn't really matter anyway really because no matter what someone does they'll still die and other stuff.
