[color=#b5b5ff]No, she wasn't.  Didn't you read her statement?  She took off her jacket and security jumped on her.

She had a banner, which would cause a disturbance. She was asked to give up the banner because it was illegal. She refused and got arrested. Being there wasn't a right, it was a priveledge. She might of said she was jumped, but she just wants to convey the government as a hostile entity.

Politicians are public servants, not royalty. How is it deemed a privilege to be present at the State of the Union address? Perhaps by technicality it's not open to the public, but people in those positions are supposed to serve and represent the people. And you know, the government is sometimes a hostile entity.

It is a priveledge for her to be there. Why? Here are some reasons:
-She is protesting the government in the capital.
-Politicians aren't royalty, the priveledge is that she is still allowed to go inside even though she protested.
-If it was a right, anybody could go in and disrupt the government.
-There are many loopholes in the constitution. Freedom of speech isn't absolute. Neither is freedom of expression.

Though it does seem odd, yes, they can easily say, "The right to your freedom of expression has been suspended for (reasons)" in Washington D.C. The government right now is only hostile because of the political leaders. She could have expressed herself anywhere else instead of the capitol, but she refused and got arrested.

Does the crowd have anything better to do than applaud more than 45 times? That's whack...

Then the liberals (no offense intended) do a standing ovation... Did the president screw up somewhere around there? Or is the State of the Union Address like a sports show?
