So, the State of the Union address should be broadcasted in an hour or two (I forget what time), and I'm going to miss the first part, DAMMIT! (Does anyone know where I can download it for free on the internet? It'd be cool.) But that's not why this is in serious discussion. As President Bush tells us what he plans on doing, I would like to discuss it. Go figure. Anyways, before it starts, how do you feel about it? What do you think Bush will discuss? Unfortunately, the AP (especially online) is so obviously biased in what they say that I cannot find anything factual about what he said in the private address. Anyways, I think he's got a lot to dig himself out of. It'll be interesting what his response to foreign affairs will be.
I think it'll be a laughing stock. The man can hardly speak on a script, much less impromptu. I'm banking on the usual cannon fodder topics (national security, terrorism, economic BS, etc.) and maybe a bit about the recent Supreme Court nominations. Wonder if he'll consider mentioning the lovely eight trillion dollar(+) deficit..
You'll probably be able to find the address all over the web within minutes of its cessation.
*NO OFFENCE INTENDED*
I swear some lunatic liberal is going to assassinate him for his stupidity with the deficit... He is quite a funny president indeed...
lol, the imfamous looney liberal lmao. has a ring to it!

Damn, it is tonight, isn't it? I'm gonna miss it because I have a night class from 8 - 10:30 PM.

I hope some of you can fill me in on this thread.
Dont worry sir, I'll tell you all about it, plus you can see it on the internet AND they show repeats on tv
I'm expecting some gunshots while I'm watching.......
oh yes haha lets talk about shooting OUR president of our country. yes haha
Hes so stupid, I mean speaking in front of millions poeple is no big deal anyway, I could do it easly!
And those stupid topics he keeps talking about... why should I care haha? I mean I won't die becuase of them haha
Oh man hes probably reading this internet post and spying on me right now and Im prob. going to go to jail oh no! my civil liberities are at his mercy!
HAHA
Good one.
I don't plan on watching the thing because it gets so boring. He says one sentence and then you hear a full 20 seconds of clapping. I wish these speeches would be done in a room with reporters only. They all hate him so we wouldn't hear a clap.
This will be funny and sad to watch. Kind of like a clown lit on fire.
I watched the first twenty minutes or so and then tuned out, went and worked on a guitar solo. Much more productive, because really, you know all he's gonna do is churn out the same generalizations about stuff he's been occupied with since 2003.
I didn't bother watching it because he is probably going to ramble on about some incorrect information and how Katrina was disasterous (10 bucks he doesn't apologize for his own stupidity), Iraq situation is improving (false), and how his cut in educational budget is benefiting the aristocrats (also false). I mean this guy has no idea what he is doing.. im wondering if he watches a formulated news channel so that only biased information can be told to Bush instead of the truth.

As I've said before, his "agenda" is a shopping list of things that his financial supporters wanted. They often contradict eachother and make little sense, but he is merely fulfilling all the requests from
certain people that he can.
Well I watched as much as my mind could take before tuning out. I was surprised.... he sounded like Kellimus o.O
Im not kidding
Yea, after class I checked with a guy who was watching the tv in the main lobby. He said it was so obviously scripted it wasn't worth watching.

Well I missed every word of the State of the Union Address. I spent all that time playing tennis instead. Way more fun and productive

I'm not suprised.
Btw, Cindy Sheean was arrested for wearing an anti-war shirt into the House gallery.QUOTE(DT_Battlekruser @ Feb 1 2006, 09:35 PM)

She was also making a disturbance. Protest outside, a lot of people inside actually want to hear the address.
Energy saving for the win doods!
I thought the address was boring. I only saw some of the first half hour of it. I thought Bush looked funny though. Monkey face

Why is this in serious discussion? Almost all of the responses have been lame jokes.
Sheean is an idiot. People who knew her say she wasn't even that close to her son. Also, some one was removed during a clinton state of the union address.
I turned it off after hearing the word "freedom" in the speech. Nothing that man has to say is worth listening to.

No, she wasn't. Didn't you read her statement? She took off her jacket and security jumped on her.

Amen. Except I didn't bother to watch it
