No, the unit name colors are in "trigedit help.txt". It's one of the lists below:

QUOTE
Triggers Colored Text:
Light blue (1) = <1>
Light blue (2) = <2>
Yellow = <3>
White = <4>
Grey = <5>
Red = <6>
Light green = <7>
Invisible = <8>
Overlap back (Center align) = <C>
Overlap front (Right align) = <R>

Forces Colored Text:
Light blue (1) = <1>
Light blue (2) = <2>
Green = <3>
Light green = <4>
Grey = <5>
White = <6>
Red = <7>
Invisible = <8>
Overlap back (Center align) = <C>
Overlap front (Right align) = <R>

Just enter the values inside the <> brackets for various colors.

I use starforge and atarcraft xtra editor, and I havn't really had any problems other than scxe deleting sprites. I havn't done much, just some block terrain and a trigger or two. If I do more things will it make my map unplayable? Thanks.
