And Neiji, the older the game, the younger we were when we played.. I'm not afraid of zombies now, that's because I'm older.

All those old games, too bad graphics to be scary. It's like crapping ur pants over a frickin pong pixel.
You obviously haven't played Half-Life.
I remember playing super mario brothers and getting REALLY far, but died...

I don't quite get why people say half life is scary, I'm a total coward about most horror games/scary games, yet half life had absolutly no effect on me, what was so scary about it?

O, I remember! I was scared of the Ghosts in Pac Man! They came for me w/ a plan! I mean, they planned everything so CAREFULLY!!!

When I was about 8 or 9, there was this point and click game called "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" (based on the TV series of the same name). In the game, you play as a brother/sister team that are stuck inside of a magician's mansion, or something. If you click the wrong thing, then sometimes tarantulas or scary masks would jump at the screen. Those usually startled me. But the scariest one by far was when I was in this "wax museum" and I got too close to a mummy and it came to life and started chasing me. When that happened, I was up past my bedtime and all the lights were out. Scared the bajeezus out of me. By the time games like Resident Evil started getting popular, I wasn't so easily scared.
Does anyone else know of that "Are you afraid of the dark?" point and click game? Or am I really that old?

Re4-- I was walking down the long hallway with all the jail cells, and I heard this shuffling noise, like those spikey zombies make. I checked all the cells, nothing, then, when I reached the end of the hall, BAM, the zombie attacked me from behind. It had been following me the whole time and I didn't see it. LOL!~ That scared the hell out of me when I first played it... The one thing that scared the shiz otta me was the first regenerator... You had to fight it bare handed. I had no ammo, no food, no rifle, and I was screwed as if I was ashley...
Another was when I was fighting Dark Falz the first time... The floor scared the heck out of me... also those capsules.. If ou are like level 15 trying to kill a wave of Delsabers with a single handgun, you will know what I mean...

SIlent Hill 2 through probably the end of the series (those leg things scared me...heh chainsaw ) Never really played the Resident Evil series, but I don't think I would be probably as freaked out until RE4.
I never got why people got scared of Half life and Especially Doom3 (whenever monsters popped out they just pissed me off cause I had to waste ammo on their asses )

Has anyone played the XBOX 360 game called Condemned: Criminal Origins? One part that really freaked me out was when I was looking through a window at some mannikins, then I turned around, and they moved right in front of me. That really freaked me out.

Yea the Zelda dungeon under the well and the 8th Triforce dungeon thinger was scary. (still scared ). But Doom 3 on a massive Plasma T.V and a Surround system chair I do believe is scarier. Hearing those crazy ass imps sneak up on you, then turning a corner and a zombie is lookin you in the face. Now thats scary. And Lavos from Chrono Trigger.
