As far as i know map is kickass, nice story, nice gameplay, nice spells, lots of blood n action. Story Mode itself you cannot solo hehe would be too hard even with 2 players it is. I tested the map many times and see it progress into something more awesome each time, I guess not everyone will like this type of map but i enjoy it very much. Other then that gOGo Bushdio power Mongers!

Hey yall, sorry about not uploading the demo. Power has been going in and out the past 5 days, and it's really starting to drive a nerve in me. Anyway on the bright side, the demo is ready(if it's not uploaded, it's cuz im on the wrong comp and u checked this message really quickly) and I'm uploading it to SEN right now.
Besides that I dont have many updates right now, the power has stopped me from editing the map at all. Hopefully the power surges are done(don't live in urban areas, it sucks
). Check back later for more, later.

Sorry to tell yall, but this map is currently on progressive standby(passive halt).
The Reason?
Other projects that have deadlines that I can't miss as well as some storyboard writing for a future project.
Luckily this standby phase has been going on for about a month now, so I doubt it'll last much longer. Sorry bout not letting this info out sooner, the map will be slowly progressing, thanks for all support.
~Tdnfthe1
P.S. Try to keep this map on the first page for awhile(like a few days) I'll be back to work on this in no time.

First of all I apologize for not being around, and I apologize 3x more not giving you guys ANYTHING to linger for on this upcoming map. The reasons r personal but I have not touched the map or my home computer for the past 3 weeks really. But needless to say my presence here is a sign that everything is back to normal and most of all the continuation of progression on this map is ready to push onward.
Check the datelog and to-do list for the updates, and I apologize for being gone I'll do my best to try and give you guys a heads up when something like this happens.

Sorry but there's no interest in this map at all, no new posts or views of the sort. I'll be closing this for now, for those who wanted to see the thread live sorry you should have posted in it, and to those who don't care don't worry. Possible I'll open this thread again after Kupo Nut Rpg contest just letting you all know why this is closing instead of just closing it.

And now that the Kupo Nut Contest is Over and my other project is reaching a screeching halt, it's time to return to this. The first thing I did before progressing with this map, is give you all a decent demo. So here it is
Announcing: Tales of Bushido Storymode Demo 01View info on the first Demo of this game on the first page
I apologize for not taking the time to put together the demo sooner but I had no choice, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and the map just had typos and i couldnt decide what to put in which demo. So anyway, here's piece of the pie for you guys to judge and chew at. Hope you enjoy, and if you don't that's ok too.

Tales of Bushido Demo 01
Genre: Action/Rpg
Battle System: Real time
Tileset: Badlands
Dimensions: 198 x 128
Should I put in a comprehensive review for the demo, or no? Well, I haven't done so in a month or so, and I have the time today, so I might as well. Although it is just...a demo.
Gameplay (New category which was requested from Daedalus in some old thread): The gameplay was quite straightforward. Read the instructions, then follow them. What else can I say?
Story: Although all I got of the story was the intro, you've definately developed something that already feels like a world, despite the fact that the player has only seen a single screen on it. Now, the next step is to see whether you do live up to making the map appear to be a world or not, which I can't see, since I didn't go very far in the demo.
Terrain: The forest was quite nice. Now, I'm not sure whether this is an overuse of doodads and sprites, but the forest looks very filling, without getting too cluttered. However, some tree positions seem a bit too organized. Unless it was supposed to be like that.
Battle System: I played this on solo, and I really didn't get to see much. Thus, it was pretty much a hack/slash for me, since there were no allies, and I never got enough mana to cast spells other than my default one. But I liked how the demons spawned from the trees, or at least were placed there.
Originality: For one, this is the second medieval japan-themed map that I've actually played, so I guess that would give you a merit of some sort. I might've taken Japanese 1/2, but I still have no clue as to what the names mean. Are there any interpretations of their names, or did you just find them somewhere? Well, as for the class names, they are definately something new.
Complexity: Although I sort of wished I knew what each spell was before I used them (or rather, the first spell, since I never got the other spells before dying), everything else was pretty much self-explanitory. However, I do have one complaint. I'm not sure whether this map is actually meant to be played by multiple players, or just someone soloing, but I did not have a very easy time fighting. Of course, with the more players allowed in a game, it becomes more difficult to balance the enemies between 1 player and 6 players, but I had to mention it, since I got killed before I barely got out of the first segment of the map before the text noted that there were some more demons headed my way. But anyway, the learning curve isn't very steep, so that's a good thing.
Well, as I said, I barely got anywhere on this map, but I decided to review it anyways, but that was a mistake. I didn't see enough content to rate. But I did it nevertheless. Just some for corrections here and there, The first loop of that song played in the intro had a halt before the second loop was thrown in. You might want to fix that timing, unless you couldn't fix it. There was a second delay between loops when Azumi was debriefing the party about the situation. Also, 'warrior' and 'tale' were capitalized, but that may've been part of your purpose. Lastly, what's ImBanishment? A typo or was that intentional? All that was just nitpicking, but I mentioned it because I can't find anything else to critisize. Interesting enough, I don't think I've played any SC maps that used midi files as their basis over Mp3s. Where are the tunes from? For a moment, I thought they sounded familiar, but I highly doubt I know the songs. Overall execution and presentation of the map was quite professional and well done. Personally, I don't see any changes or problems that needs to be fixed, so all I can say is, well done. Of course, ratings may alter on your final version when I get to fully evaluate the map.

Yeah the storymode is not really playable with just 1 player, IMO you need at least 3 if ur good, 4 if ur not.
I'm going to add spell descripts in the future, so you know before you waste a tiny bit of energy on the available spells. Besides that I dont really think ima change much else that you saw in that demo, the cutscenes are skippable so their length isnt a problem. Thanks for the odd yet welcomed review of the demo. Just hope more people give some type of feedback, usually you just type "this map roxorz soxorz" and u have instant popularity....
