it would suck if somebody cut you in a million pieces and took each piece to a different galaxy
Your mouth piece: "Ahhhhhh a part of me itches!!!!!"
If invulnerable, the worst situation would be just to drift in space....for...billions...of...years.....
Ok it seems to me you guys took one of my coments and streched it out to insanity. i said i would like to learn all the languages as in one of the things i would do. but you seem to leave out the whole being God part. you think i qould hate it. you think the pain of seeing loved one die will hurt me. your wrong. i would be great. i would bea messiah. and you would grovell for my table scraps in hope there there some sense of meaning to your simple short lives. i would be eternal you would be a flicker of nothingness in time compared to me. i assure you i would enjoy every second of it. im not talking about the world descovering immortality im talking about if only i knew the means of obtaining it.
You would not be a God, you nimrod.
Once the people see that you cannot perform miracles, you will be shunned.

Immortality doesn't grant you super strength (all though you could bench forever

). If you abused your powers as the 'Elder Immortal One' (or whatever these cultists of yours would call you) people could always just throw you in some rotting chamber, lock you up, and throw away the keys.

I think that immortality would be a curse. You would outlive everything you once loved and eventually forget wonderful memories. Also, in today's society, I believe once I get old, I would just want to rest, just escape from the hectic world.
No, I would not take this power, because it would give me no reason to fight, because no matter what, I can always try again, making for an uninspirationnal world. A world without courage or strive is a world unfit for me.

Yup, just like In Pirates of the Carribean: The curse of the black pearl (or something like that.) But in that movie, it's different because they're literally like ghosts, they cannot eat or drink or have any physical pleasure or anything.
Mabie i wont have super strength or anything but what is the world going to do when i obtain the weapons to fight. people will see that i cannnot die and beleive me to be some sort of gift from god. i would declair myself as such. the fact that im immortal itself would be a miricle to them. how many people would jump at the chance to serve god. i would declare myself to be the following. who cares if my destiny is to fail i would be the future.
"33. ‘Behold the time; the abyss opens. Behold the
king of kings of darkness. Behold the beast with his subjects, calling himself the savior of the world. He will raise himself up with pride into the air in order to go even up to heaven; he will be smothered by the breath of the holy Archangel Michael. He will fall, and the earth which for three days will be in continual evolutions, will open its bosom full of fire; he will be plunged for ever with all his own into the eternal chasms of hell. Then water and fire will purify the earth and will consume all the works of the pride of men, and all will be renewed: God will be served and glorified.’

It would be, but I'd like it if I had to power to end my immortality.
It wouldn't be worth it to be immortal...life is just too boring and one lifetime is good enough for me to live through especially living in a world like this. It would be like your the only one alive in the world. People would be jeolous and torture you for the rest of eternity anyway so...yea
it'd be cool but i wouldnt want to, like, i'd be living at the end of the world, alone... that would suck i couldnt die with everyone else (friends, family, etc.)
but i dont tihnk its possible in the first place.

That's talking about Satan. Why post something about that?
Apparently Sinister is an insane christian megalomaniac..?
Immortality no, extended life sure. One thing I would like thats become more and more of a reality everyday though is prolonged youthful appearance and energy. I would rather my final days alive as 90+ year old man be as full of emjoyment as if I were in my 20's or 30's, not as a crustly old man who can barely move and tired of life.
A greek quote goes along the lines of this "It is not man, but the Gods who are envious - envious for our mortality, because every breath we take si more fullfulling, every rage more justified, every love more passionate - because we are only here for a short period of time"
Our mortality is the driving force behind every action we take, biologically it is the only reason we have children - or sex at all. Life would become utterly meaningless if tommorow was promised. Imagine being alive 1000 years from now, all your family, friends and natural surroundings have all long since vanished with time. Surely you may have had children and by now have many succeeding generations of great-grand children but its not the same. You can even ask yourselves this, do you feel the same attactchment to your grandparents as you do to your own mother and father? Unless you have a bad relationship with your parents the awnser is naturally a no.
Essentially this is a big concept in the book im writing.
eeh i just happen to thing that a title like "King of kings of darkness sounds awsome. anyway if i was immortal i would claim myself to be holy so i could hget followers.
