K lets pull it back together here.(pm each other if you wanna chat about how great you are at Zelda lol!)

So heres kinda the rough plot that i have designed;



(start)
(black screen)
Intro

(Goes to a tree grove with link and gannon in the middle)
Link says: Gannon... please dont kill me.
Gannon laughs

Sariah wakes you up from your nightmare!(in Kokiri)

(you go 2 grandmas house *you were supposed to meet here today*)

Grandma says: something bad has happend... our world is magically fused with another(something along those lines)

Link Says: How???

Grandma says: IDK but the town wizard, Korchra, know more than me. Go talk to him.

(You go to Korchra's House)

(He left town and is in Mandella *nearest city*)

(You have to go out of Kokiri into tateroni passage)

(Tateroni passage leads you to Mandella)

(You find and talk to Korchra)

Korchra says: gannon was a mayor
he gets voted out
he gets mad
he was casting a spell one day to get back at Lexington
he casts it wrong
worlds magically connect
no all of the other worlds minons obey Gannon
Korchra Gives you (some key item to beating Gannon)

(you go back through tateroni passage to grandma's house)

(you begin to talk to grandma, but then you notice something strange)

Link says: what the!!! your not my grandma!

(Grandma transforms into gannons Spy*need a new name*(suggestions?))

(Gannon's spy sicks gannons minions*also needs a new name* on you.)

(Right then, sariah walks in unaware of the situation)

Sariah says: Link. I was just gonna... Hey! who are they!

(the minions attack you and you have to kill them)

Sariah says: What the heck! everything's going insain!

(you discuss with sariah about gannon and the whole bit, and then link says...)

Link says: The only ones who know about this are me you and Korchra.

(Korchra walks in and says)

Korchra says: I am finnished

(he throws you a bag and then dies)

(Sariah realizes she is badly injured from the fight)

(She wants you to stay w/ her, but she knows you need to straighten things out w/ gannon)

(Sariah leaves)

(You open the bag Korchra gave you)
(there is tonna stuff in it *ie sword*0

*~You disembark on your mission to rid the world of evil and Gannon~*

The end.




What do you think?

Also about names, what are you thinking?

Should i change Korchra to Korchara? I think it sounds a little more like a Zelda name, but it all depends on what you think.

Also tell me what you think about the font format situation

Sounds good but making this game especially on SC is hard and if its OoT wow the temples, dungeons, and all the side quests would be really hard to make I did not read the description on how its going and what your doing but exactly what you plan on doing? for this game to be like it

Ok then, i came in here hoping this map was gonna fit the zelda theme... unfortantly i am dissapointed, this is set in hyrule, its set DURING the events of OoT BUT ITS NOT!! this map is gonna suck, its not Oot, its not going to work for true zelda fans because i wanna play a OoT that feels like the N64 (and the master quest that i should mention i have finished) i will keep track of this topic on good faith that the map is good, but if not then i am gonna get really pissed and put my chainsaw to good use....

i can't wait for this map to get released! do you know how far off finishing it you are? it sounds rly good.

PS - ignore negative feedback. theres alota people who don't know what they are talking about.

Im trying really hard, unfortunatly, demo date is not gonna happen.(Major Tennis tourny for 5 days biggrin.gif ) sorry. But im gonna hop right on back to the map making as soon as im done(gonna do trigger work on paper while in the car)

ok my suggestions.
1 Work on your grammer
2 The dialog sounds nothing like any zelda game ive ever played.
3 In every zelda game link never speaks. He makes sound effects but never speaks.
4. Using the actaul hyrule setting would be better then making one up...ppl k it better and wont get confused

Helpful hints could you send me those wavs? Check your pm box

Well, making up your own setting is fine. If every Zelda game took place in Hyrule, then Oracle of Ages/Seasons and all those other games wouldn't have existed. However, you should have a regard for the geography of the Zelda universe (or world).

I'm not too worried about your story and such. In SC RPGs, the quality of the battle systems and such greatly outweigh the priority of the story. Of course, if you want a great RPG all-around, you might want to study the history, geography, style and such of the Zelda games first.

Zelda is an action/RPG.

Ocarina of Time was a Semi-RPG, but most other Zelda Games, like the really early ones WE'RE INDEED RPGS CLOUD!!!, you cant call Zelda 1 or Zelda 2 not rpgs, lol.
oh and yeah, you cant say KH was made by Nintendo (cause it would prolly be pretty bad if it was made by nintendo tongue.gif)

          easier for common items to be used such as heath.  You can Ctrl select the
          Civ given, and you can use it over and over again and you don't have to
          load the 'C' button until you want to switch.(reason i am doing this is to
          make this feel like the real N64 game.
    -Different 'weapons' (ie.  Sword is Zealot, Bow is Ghost, Bomb is reaver)

Ok...the intro is a bit wierd but maybe we can work with it. Ganon being a mayor and getting kicked out...? Stick with Ganon being mad with power and wanting to take over the world. Also, question, if the Korkiri wizard gives you a bag with stuff in it (including a sword) how do you kill the monsters that Ganon throws at you before you get your sword...?

Just make a OoT rpg, cause if you dont then it wont fit... but that gives me a idea (for u to use) how about its Ganons rise to power? and ur a hylian solder that stops it (but gets killed in the process) it could kinda tie up with the story and keep me happy!

K, just got back from the tennis tournament...

wow there's a lot of off topic comments. If your gonna say something, please make sure it pertains to the subject. Also, I've gotten a few comments asking me to change my map to just the origional Oot. This is deffinitely not gonna happen(i've already made up my mind and nothing can disuade me now smile.gif ), so please dont tell me not to make it how i've decided(Voldamort101, you can go make your own bloody Oot map biggrin.gif ).

Ok back to real news.

Back in production, and i'm gonna try and get some screen shots this week asap. Also, I know link doesn't talk in all of the other games, but i've already wrote and triggerized(my new word for put into triggers) tonna link dialog.(sorry if thats gonna bother you)(I might still change it if it bothers to many people) Demo just needs a few tweaks, some minor trigger work, and demo properties such as an end.



This is where i will reply to posts;

I thought about making a KH rpg but until later lets stick with the Zelda.

I already thought about bosses and sub-bosses, and thats a go.

I don't know what you were trying to say about display text and TRANSMISSION




One last thing, what are you guys thinking about the in game text? which format(remember that ABCD) deal?

I still haven't decided...

One more thing, i thought i would say that i have finnished all of the tuts and i am working on the store(prices, and the actual purchase of items). next is gonna be the ending and deleting unused sounds(the map is like 2.6 megabytes!) so as soon as i get that done the demo will be set

oh, btw for whoever asked, im 15 (16 in may if you read my profile). anyways next is the full game screen shots!

ah yeah, and for whoever asked, your proly gonna start off with a sling shot.
