Well, that's great and all, but I'm asking about the regular DS.
And when I say thats great, I mean that sucks.. because... I don't plan on getting a DS lite.

Oh well.

Maybe I should sell my DS now smile.gif

They're both about equal. I'm going to buy a DS though. You know why? XENOSAGA I&II IS BEING RELEASED FOR THE DS NEGROES.

That game was ok if you had a lot of time to watch cut scenes ermm.gif

I would rather stick with gameboy color. I dont really like the idea of scratching a screen to do stuff on the DS and the psp just doesn't look fun to me.

I think PSP is definitely better than DS... You can't do anything with DS unless you get Wi-Fi connection too... Also, the games on PSP is better than DS. I just hate dual screen.. maybe that is why.

Can't do anything?

Uhh... ever hear of single player?

perosnally i feel like ds is getting pretty good these days... But then again i would get a xbox 360 instead of a psp so i would go ds for hand held... there also coming out with a new ds which i think is pretty tight.

I forgot to quote Deathawk, and too lazy to go back.

Deathawk... No one prefers singleplayer when there is choice between singleplayer and multiplayer. I think that if you are going to get DS, you will also have to get Wi-Fi because without it, it will be just "one of the gameboys" with absolutely no connection to other handheld players.

And because PSP comes along with it, it is better.

Uhh, all you need to connect on the DS is a wireless router, not that hard to get.

And so what? A bunch of the games are still fun, single player or not. Infact, the game "Metroid: Prime Hunters" is much funner singleplayer, than multiplayer, in my opinion.

I know, but the annoying lines keep getting in my way when I play. I never liked lines...

PSP also has great games. You just have to download (Illegally) the emulators and get some other games. Then you have the backward, forward compatible PSP with other games on it. I think it is ton better than the lame DS.

Most of the PSP's games are ports, or similar to the games on the PS2.
If I wanted to play those games, I would have bought a PS2. That's why I bought a Gamecube and an Xbox.

Not saying the games aren't fun, but I'm not willing to pay OVER 200 dollars to play remakes of games I didn't want to play in the first place.

DeadlyInnocence, how are you going to do dual analog on your PSP controls?
Emulators are legal. ROMs are not.

Buying a DS and the online stuff is much cheaper than buying a PSP, so saying you have to get teh wi-fi stuff while the PSP has it packed in is sorta stupid.
You also basically said that because you saw lines when playing singleplayer, singleplayer sucks.

in my opinion, single player can still be as much fun as multiplayer...when they have long lasting playing/replaying value(something like rpgs or golden sun have nice replaying values).

plus in single player you don't have to have morons running around. but if people prefer to play multiplayer on the occasion, you can use the router to set up the ds,or a play where nintendo set up a shotspot to play it on. dont need to have the connection either when you are in range(no link cables)...

i dont know whats the psp is like cause i never played on it, but saw it does have nice graphics...

my friend bought a ds the other day, and naturally brought it to school today.

He didn't get any games.

I forgot about one nifty feature of the ds:

DS Download. He played 3 games, just by linking up to some other kid playing it. They have some limited features i would assume, like say, a spawn of starcraft would.

for example, when he was playing mario kart, he had to be shy guy wink.gif

But still a cool thing nonetheless.

Not nearly as little as spawn.

DS Download play gives you nearly everything, at least for the games I've played it with. Like, in Mario Kart, the only thing the downloaded DS couldn't do is choose a character, Shy Guy is the default character for them.

I really like how the psp has a big screen, and good graphics. I also like the whole LAN / Internet set up. I like browsing the internet with it and also gaming online with it. Although i kind of like the DS because it has alot of old n64 games which i loved, but sadly il stick with the PSP.

I voted PSP. mainly becuz it has more functions.

DS - Double screen/touch screen/handheld/HUGE/games
PSP - MP3 player/Small-Medium/games/etc... (cant name all!)

DS isn't huge.

I WOULD buy a PSP, except from the simple fact that its 200$ more EXPENSIVE. besides, i already have my DS. and there are next-to-none games that i would like to play on PSP. that is....unless they make a Kingdom Hearts for PSP shifty.gif

Alright, movies on a two-inch screen!

lyon, PSP is $100 dollars more.

The new DS Lite is very small.

And the DS is already pretty small. At least when it's folded, but that doesnt' even matter, because the thing is already pocket sized. Size doesn't really matter when you're playing it, only when you're carrying it, right?

Where I am DS is $120, and PSP is $250. That's about $100.

GBA-SPs pwn both in my opinion. All I really look for in a handheld is portability, and GBA-SPs are so small they own. If I want portable quality like a PSP, I'd get a small laptop.
