i think leq or w.e is kinda er... bad at terrain and from how your saying it has extended terrain i see nothing yet and ISOM is so ez and it still looks bad.. i do know that much of this has already been pointed out but i think you should hear it again basically...
1) FIX ISOM
2) SHOW SOME OF YOUR IMPROVEMENT IN YOUR SCREENIES

other than that it looks good except for maybe how some of your things or modeled like mt doom wasnt that great and helms deep just wasnt original or beliveable, a drain wouldnt be that big

there are a lot of maps out there without isom like some helms deeps. there terrible. isom is the true terrain on starcraft. u can use your squares if you want because isom created squares bwahahahaha

This map has great triggering in it, so don't worry about the terrain, this map was originally started 2 years ago and so the terrain was noobish to start with. The terrain only looks bad in the screenshots, other than that, it's acctually quite decent. More screenshots tommorow! Check back soon!

Great Triggering...Great Terrain, it all matters not. if the Map has a bad storyline. or if its just plain boring. Nothing else matters. and since its LotR its obvious it has a great story. But that leaves the part about Fun. and we'll see how this turns out.

For fark's sakes people, the map is at 96%. Stop asking when it will be done, there's only 3-4 events left and they aren't NEARLY as hard as Minas Tirith, which is done.

It seems good, i liked Vlads map but i hated 1 thing, will this map require full to play? my next comment will depend on this answer....

yea i dont really like maps like that. kinda like a CTF map where u really would like FH but noone joins cuz there all damn stupid to know what CTF means. damn pubys.

OMG you are going through all 3 books and over 30 different cinematic scenes....its going to be good if you can pull the whole thing off man, which you can.

Looking good DLK, i guess after you done this map you can make The Hobbit as a rpg, believe it or not i dont think hobbit has ever really been made into a rpg...

Just one question DLK, what's keeping the map's battle system any different than other hack-n'-slash maps?

The map's battle system is no different than hack and slash. One major thing to point out though is that you don't need to heal too much because most of the map will be big battles and cinematics. This map has really been halted at the moment because lequebeclibre hasn't showed up again, but I assure you, everytime he logs on we get one thing done.

Update:

- Fixed a major terrain bug crashing SC saying "Too many obstructions, trying widening corridors".

For some strange reason, I am doubting this map will be of any use to you guys... It requires full house (6 player), mainly because it covers the entire story of lotr; hence the name . If one person dies, the whole game is over too.

Ah dang it! Thats the one thing that everyone hates in these kinda maps. No one has 2 or 3 hours on their hands straight to do nothing but play your map! Maybe if you got 6 friends to play it with you, but even then theres no guarentees. Ive tried playing other LOTR RPG maps but everytime someone has to go or is a noob and dies. Your map looks very fun (except for that whole part with Treebeard being in Osgiliath, that wasnt in book or movie...whered you get that from?) but you have doomed everyone who ever wanted to play it to not being able to play it. Too bad; too bad.

Dude, LotR RPG 1-3 is popular as fark. I think this will turn out even better. Oh and you'll have to see what that Treebeard part is, it's acctually not Osgiliath, it's Isengard lol.

Just promise this one won't be as pumped with fake hype-man action as that ww2 thing u did. If this sucks uve lost all credibility u have as a map maker(watevr is left).
Anyway your full house can really be resolved by making fulltime CPAs(computer controlled allies). Or just use comps for ur cinematics and whoever is in game for certain parts, has to make do. Really this doesnt sound any different from vlad_vampire's map that u dissed so much. Goodluck on makin it great, ur rep. depends on it in my opinion.
