the units before p14 will be frozen/invisible and the ones after will be normal.
donwano: only scarab, interceptor, map releaver(sometimes) and scanner sweep(sometimes) work.
i hope you all are aware of the #X speed was spawned from replay mode... meaning that the speeds are:
Pause
1X
2X
4X
8X
16X
Possibly another beta tester secret speed?!
oh well, you guys with it, i crash sc too much anyway -.-
Blizz knows about player 14. This player was created for replays. Replays aren't like a movie. It is a map scenario where you are an observer (not the unit), and all other players are comps. Evry action is written down and the comps play it out. That is why a replay saved while using a mod will not function correctly and have a different outcome.
That's what I thought replays were since they usualy crapped up.
And that player 14 being for replays too, replays went at x2 x4 x8 x16 the p14 units can go x2 x4 x8.
Bleh, has anyone tried placing P14 SPRITES?
if u have a map that goes 8x speed and u view it in replay what happens if u try to speed it up to like 16x
This is the sort of thing you can try.
T.s.u.k.a.s.a, perhaps you can explain why mac users can't use player 14? Or why player 14 is WAY too unstable to be used for replays? Blizzard did NOT know about player 14, player 14 is NOT used for replays, player 14 was NOT created by Blizzard, replays are NOT a map scenario. The only players that truely exist and were created by Blizzard are players 1-12.

Why did Blizzard make players 9-11. What do they use them for? Why didn't they just do players 1-8 and have P9 for the neutral leftovers?
Maybe Players 9-256 is what Blizzard put in the game to take our minds off of StarCraft 2... It's a conspiracy!
lol. Everything in the SC engine is absed on 255 (almost) can have 255 locations, 255 armor, 255 upgrades, (uxcept with armor upgraded ultra with 255 upgrades. It goes to 00000000 at 254, then 1 at 255. lol So it is 255. 255 colors with data for SC (even though some crash SC)
So, 255 seems to be an SC number, so it makes sense it has the data for 255 players, it just ins't used. Dunno why player 12 is neutral though. Maybe because it is 150% of 8, and wouldn't crash, or w/e. Who ever knows must be a Blizz prgorammer guy.
Me thinks me heard before that 255 is like one byte. 255 of something is, so that might be why.
0000 0000 = zero
1111 1111 = 255
256 combinations for one byte, including 0.
wonder what would happend if they would have used longint *evil*
This is why P 14 crashes mac users. As explained in one of my other posts on concepts, here is the explanation. Mac computers process data differently than PCs. The different way of processing data screws up Starcraft, causes an overload which causes a crash. Here is the technichal stuff. The Starcraft on the mac immediately processes the P 14 unit. The mac has an overload. The reason: The way the mac processes data, the unit lacks data or has an overflow of data on the mac. Since pcs process this normally, nothing happens to them. That's why I'm so happy that I have a PC

Players 9-11 are used to manage spells, one player per race (according to EvilDrone anyways). Player 12 is the neutral player as we all know.
What do you mean manage spells?
