And it's not Sony showing off the game, it's Square Soft. Why would they want to show off graphical advancements for the ps3, sure they're releasing there console on it. But they won't lose any money if people find out the graphics aren't that great.
And for the record Microsoft has said false things like with GTA4, claiming it was there's when Rockstar quickly corrected them after the show.
