Halo Multiplayer Gameplay > Halo 2 Multiplayer Gameplay
Halo Story > Halo 2 Story.

Halo 1 was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa better.

Halo 2 Vote: Not really good

Luv it. Its ~Perfect~. Multiplayer is one of the most online console games played.

Me and my friend are trying to beat both Halo 1 and 2 Co-op Story together in one night lol smile.gif

In my opinion... its not so much as the multiplayer gameplay (was still great) but they way they set up the online. You make a party... Play w/e you want with your friends using custom gametypes and such... or you can go face people you dont know in matchmaking WITH your firends or premade team or clan...

The way the did the online was great

It's not bad. I would never buy an xbox to play it but it is a fun game to play for fun. I don't like how the swords are one hit kills and it was also poorly made. But over all it's a good game.

One of the top 10 most overrated games of all time in my opinion.

Total garbage game that just keeps making you kill 4 or more types of enemies unlike the 32 on doom 3. The multiplayer is fun, but its not worth buying the game for just that. Agreeing with lyon, this is one of the most overrated games of all time.

I've never played through the story of Halo, but I've heard it's okay. Well, then again, it's the typical one man has to save the universe pattern, but whatever.

Halo 2 was built on online multiplayer and everything else, the story and the singleplayer were just tacked on. However, less than 10% of all Xbox owners actually have Live, so a lot of people won't get the real value of the game - online multiplayer.

Multiplayer lacks bots, which means friends have to come over. There's LAN which is nice, but I've yet to see it.

I mean the story is okay, the singleplayer is alright and the online multiplayer... well any FPS with 16 players is going to be fun. I'm in the middle of the road here.

Overrated, yes, but still better than the majority of games today.

A million or so*

It made less money then doom 3. tongue.gif
What is so special about the dang single player. You are just a human in armor killing 4 kinds of enemies until the break of destruction of the enemies or the human race. The multiplayer is fun, but you can't say crap about the single.

CS: Source. I can't get my favorites list of servers to work. I will add a server, but it will never show up on the list. It always says "no servers selected."
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dumbducky on 2006-07-19 at 17:09:29
That happens with all my games. I add a server, and I have a 25% chance of it being there after I exit. The history tab is also the same.

Because it's more realistic? I'm sorry but jumping around a corner and blowing someone's head off from 100 ft is very unrealistic.

why? if you could aim good enough sure it could be very realistic....whats not realistic is playing a video game..get over it...realism is over rated..you play SC and half the maps custom unit names dont even resemble the thing its named

So if I want to do something realistic I should go out and buy a bunch of guns and shoot up my friends? I play realistic video games because I can't do the real thing.

for some strange reason, i find 1.6 harder than source. Also, I've noticed the AK47 has it's recoiled decreased in source. Actually, every wepon has it's recoil decreased in source. Does anyone else notice this?

BTW Does anyone play surf maps in CS? I love those!

I think Halo 2 was ok. I have Halo: Combat evolved (PC Halo 1), but not halo 2, since I don't have an X box. I've played Halo 2 single and multi at my friend's house for countless hours.

Single Player: Eh... its ok. I've seen better and worse single player modes. It's better than Halo 1 campaign on the count of more enemies.
Multi Player: I really have mixed feelings about Halo 2 multi.

Like:
Improved graphics and the fact the plasma grenades stick to terrain. Weapon balance adjustments. Vehicles are destructible. The increased number of game modes is good (i.e. Big Team Battle, Training, etc.). I like the new vehicles a lot.

Dislike:
Although I like the concept of a melee attack and wish more games had it, melee has become overpowered. 2-3 hits is usually enough to take someone out at full shield. I especially hate that hitting someone in the back is instant kill. Lack of AIs in multiplayer sucks. I hate that there is no way to look over what games you join (see map, game settings, and game type i.e. snipers, etc.). You just get thrown in. I usually end up on a map I dislike or in a game mode I hate. I didn't like that you can have two vehicle types per map without modding. The only exceptions are maps with Banshees, which cannot be disabled. More customization in game types would be nice, like enable infinite grenades (god I love sticky wars), choose which weapons and vehicles are available (i.e. make a game where the only disabled weapons are sniper rifles and beam rifles). The thing I dislike most is that there is almost no health. This makes unsuccesful attacks on an enemy meaningless, since their shield regenerates in a few seconds (before you or anyone else not in the immediate area has time to find them), and no damage is done to health.

Despite that my dislike list is four times longer than my like list, I rate Halo 2 multiplayer as ok.

Halo 2's storyline was pretty much the exact same as #1 save earth bla bla bla kill the ring etc etc cept you have like 2 missions on earth which is totaly LAME I expected like all the missions to be on earth. Multiplayer is alot more enjoyable in #2 though.
