-Zerglimg upgrade to Devouring One
-Timer (losing a life for taking too long)

No offense, but those things are really noobish.

Did I add them? That's what I had predicted would happen to the bounds later on.

After all, who would want to go through 254 bounds only with a non-upgraded zergling, other than obsessed bounding pros?

Let me tell you one thing about the fast zergling:

The zergling is so fast, that if you want to make a hard level with it, the player would have to have incredible skills to beat that level. The hardest bounds are made with a slow zergling.

By the way, Monster Bound was submitted a fiew days ago or something. It's one of the hardest bounds. Try it.

This project should already be at bound level 4.

Somebody click on this link and download the bound and tell us you're editing it, then upload it later after you are done with level 2.

The death counters and triggers aren't that hard to figure out, as only level 1 has been done.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Fwop_ on 2006-09-24 at 00:08:43
I guess I'll add a level. The organization of the triggers makes my eyes burn. You wouldn't mind if I adjusted some of your "don't edit" triggers would you? I'll try to make it more friendly for people that are making adjustments to the map. (i.e. what death does what, etc.)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xmrxsiegecopx on 2006-09-24 at 00:46:14
Sure. Just don't mess up my bound.

Here is new map, I changed couple things; trying to make it easier for someone new to the quilt.

What's going to happen with this project? Now that Moose is leaving..?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xmrxsiegecopx on 2006-09-24 at 12:09:38
A handful of some SEN members are still active on battle.net.

You could also spread it to the MM clans (U), Oo., and Mp).

The question is if Mooses want to keep organizing this project even not as a moderator. If not, we'd need someone else to step up to the job, since without someone overseeing it it could get messy.

Also, put a version number at the end of every file you edit. It's what we're doing for the (U) minigame map, atleast.

Wait, so we can't have many loctions? :C I may have to change my system.

EDIT:
Ew.. whats with all the comments? Do I have to use them?? I guess it would make it take up less space...
Meh, I make mine next. ... and follow whats already there >.>

ADDITION:
Complaint: Ok, so why did you go off and rename "Counter 1" and stuff? It took me forever to find what unit it was. This is why I hate commenting.

ADDITION:
Mine's a bit easier than I expected. O.o But -3 minerals is always fun. I added a 1x1 location.. if you want you can rename it to fit with the rest of them.
Person who does #4, if you must change where your level starts, you can change the path on mine at the end. Just keep the z End 03 or whatever location so that it covers the area it does already.

You have to get to the end, go to the start, then get back to the end. tongue.gif It was going to be "normal", but then its too easy. Now it's just easy.
I know this isn't the traditional explosions in a pattern and get to the end, but I thought it was a nice idea. (Better than some unit on Junk Yard Dog AI with a location under it. Mobile grids with one location, FTW!)

Wow. The Devouring One made my bound so much easier. We should save that for later, or at least convert it into the normal zergling for the harder bounds.

Bound #2 was a bit easy as well. Bound #3, though, looked a bit... random. Nevertheless, it was still beatable. We're off to a good start. cool.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2006-09-24 at 18:52:46
#3 is random. tongue.gif Check the triggers.

Guys, if you want to make a good bound, p,ease don't use the fast ling, and don't make random levels. Bounding is in no way luck.

Bah, it turned out just as I expected, we're making a noob bound. sad.gif

Moose said to save the harder ones for later. You can force the players to use the slower zergling for your bound.

Besides, how far would players get if the first 10% of the bound was too hard (That's roughly the first 25.4 bounds, and most bounds don't even have more than 50 levels. Remember, we're doing 254 obs!)?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by fritfrat(U) on 2006-09-25 at 12:01:36
Seriously, there is a big difference between a nub bound and simply an easy bound. This one is kind of heading towards the first, but it's all good, I suppose, as long as people enjoy making it. I won't be a part of it, though.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mini Moose 2707 on 2006-09-25 at 12:09:58
Uh... stick with one unit please. It's just much easier on the triggering.

At the rate we're going (about 1 bound every 2 days), we will be done with this Bound in January 2008 (Over 500 days).

Now. You don't see anyone else saying they're editing in it the past three hours, do you? You don't even have to read anything before then.

Should we just convert this project into a level up style? I don't have the time or motivation to organize everything and hold people's hands, and nobody else is taking the initiative to edit it.

Its whatever you want, I think lots of us are waiting for what will never happen, this being we want easy levels first, and lots of people want to make hard ones, and no one wants to make easy ones. smile.gif

That ruined my idea <<

I was going to do a "micro while you bound" in which you have to use vultures to kill zealots while dodging explosions sad.gif
