- They(LW) produce and spread a tool that is against everything we stand for.
- They don't like our opposition to their OSMAP.
- They(LW) start to terrorize opposition people on op sen channel by banning them.
- They terrorize us with hacks multiple times.
- They bring well aimed soap opera with flames and everything here. (LW confession)
- They assault us by holding our domain hostage.

THIS IS NOT AN OSMAP DEBATE TOPIC. THANK YOU. If it continues ill requtest this locked. Now back on topic:
Alot of people are pessimistic about this idea. I can see why, as they do pose some very hard hitting points. Those with atleast some optimism have doubts too, but let me say a few things i actually know to be true to battle.net:
B.net will always have hackers, immature people, and crappy maps. But we dont need to create a new genre of map to wow people, and we dont need to put in anti hack methods, because theyll always find a way around them. Instead we need to get back to the basics. Things that made SC fun.
My suggestions:
The newer defense maps that ive seen produced are rarely played. People like 10 ways. Lets give them new 10 ways. Im saying remake that map, with the same gameplay, but make it better. Add in units, features, cool terrain, unit name colors. Anything that wasnt there before.
Cat and mouse. Oh here we go. C&M Maps are some of the oldest most copied games ever. But most of them are just modified to be rigged, containing a "referee" of sorts. I say make a new C&M, and as above add to it. New abilitys for cats, new units for mice, add in zerg and terran as full buyable and usable races. And remember: Cats are supposed to be normal Ultralisks with NO speed upgrade. Cats are supposed to be slower then the mice.
Matrix Defenses. These specificly were great maps that were played a million times by many many people. But what i want to see is more twists, more challenges, less ways to get "Secret" minerals. Change it up, make it fun.
Turret Defense STAKT. The origional one made by Ghost[Yoon] if you oldies remember it, its barely played. But a year ago it was like DOTA on WCIII. A RM of that map, with some new content, would do great.
Trigger systems and RPGS:
The n00bs and young kids of bnet are NOT IMPRESSED NOR WANT NOR WILL USE your new complex fun and realistic trigger systems. They want to hack and slash in an RPG and thats ALL they want to do. SEN might appreciate it they wont. So what do we do with this? We give them simple gameplay. But like the above we add things. Im not saying a shuttle system is so advanced, but virtual HP is a bit much. CD is perfect example of OVER THE TOP.
So what have we learned? Stop trying to make a brand new map like nothing no ones ever seen. Chances are no one will play it and it wont be popular if they do. Go with the oldies, the basics, make another RE: Raccoon City for christ sake. But do it and do it well, and Bnet will return. Cant we all remember our days of playign mindless arena clicks and defenses and not caring that our RPG map didnt have a shuttle system? We had fun without these complex new ideas, and i say we stick to it.
Bnet is not ready for the talent some SENners have with triggers. Or some of our new ideas. But they do want new, better maps then they have right now. Hell make a nude map, but make it fun and challenging. Make it your own.

Yea, my post wasn't directed at OSMAP, but more at DEAD calling supporters of OSMAP "terorists" which is pretty offensive. But you are right with the maps being played, if you look at them closely, they fall under Desperado's list thingy.

We can release new maps, but most of them would be way too complicated (i.e, involving hotkeys) for the average SCer. The only thing we can do is continue to have fun in our private groups. And join a game hoping that the host won't ban you because your name reminds him of someone he banned recently.

We can release new maps, but most of them would be way too complicated (i.e, involving hotkeys) for the average SCer. The only thing we can do is continue to have fun in our private groups.
