What do you mean with "what unit" ? Just some spell casters.

Ok, spacing done. Beer_Keg, if the HP bar is not full it mean that the HP doesnt work. If the HP works you can kill the unit, if it doesnt work you cant kill it.

I'm just wondering.. how exactly do you perform this. Do you edit the unit in starforge and fill in 1525 or whatever for the unit number, then try it out in SC about 15 times to fulfill all the categories?

You only need to test the unit 1 or 2 times for fulfill everything. Also, yes, put a unit in SF and change the unit ID to whatever you want.

See the reason I ask is because the map just quits to the main SC menu (single player, multiplayer, ext, credits) and says "unable to load scenario file" after the mission briefing is done. I'm using unit 1600. Just wondering if it fails for you people like this too.

EDIT apparently it doesn't work with any units confused.gif so maybe I should load it up in SCXE and save it or maybe make a new one.

again: It doesn't even load properly in SCXE, it gets the minimap with the right units on it, says "4 units are invalid" and then says "unable to load map"

I suppose you know how to do the unit 1520 thing. If not say it and someone will explain it to you.
Meh what the heck I'll explain to all.

Put any unit on the map in Starforge.
-Click it and press enter.
-To the right of the Unit Owner (Player 1), there is a title bar labeled Unit Type.
-Put any number there
-Open the map in BW and follow Clokr_'s instruction thing.

Each unit takes about 2-3 tests.

the Edit you made: SCXE dosen't handle abnormal unit types or players above 12.

EDIT: You don't have to use the same number with marine, firebat etc...
The number you just changed is the unit ID, the unit "Marine" Unit Type 32(I think) will be automatically changed to "X Unit" Unit Type "The number you put".

I'm not sure... you should try to kill it, place a bunch of battlecruisers and try to kill it, if you cant then 'Valid HP=No'

Can you just test unit 1600 for me? I want to know if I'm doing this right, and nothing at all appears when I set it to that number.

Alright I opened it and found this error.
You were using unit 1529 and if I'm not mistaking that unit crashes.
I changed it to unit 1600 and tested it.

1600-Nothing
-NOTE: The unit is completly invisible and nothing can be done

You were testing it correctly just as told, the only thing is that you choose a unit that didn't show up.

No, I tried 1529 because I knew it crashed, to see if my map would crash and it didn't. Then I uploaded it so you could look at my test map, went back and tried the firebat and a gas sac. I can't get any of the units over 227 to appear.

There are some groups with a lot of units of the same time. Check the 1509-1519 group that I posted, most of are censored.gif ing scourges with shield!

What version of BW are you using?
What version of SF are you using?
Do you have a MaC?

if you don't have BW 1.11b, SF 2.1 or a WIN PC that might be your problem.
If you got all those then I don't know ask DK instead.

Yes Clokr_ my units also were scourges with marine wireframes with shields.

I tried the ones you said worked, none of them appeared. Can someone upload their test map for me? I probably have some strange setting disabled on it that makes only real units work.

Alright thats the map i used to test.
I'm using unit#1526 to ensure you won't get a crash.
I have 3 of each spellcaster and msot abilities are learned.

To click on the scourge that should appear do this:
Select your marine and then hold shift and click on the scourge.

It shouldn't crash unless you individualy select the scourge.

If the problem persists I don't know what else I could help you with.

Thanks, it seems to appear fine. I don't know what the hell I did wrong with mine though confused.gif I just placed the spellcasters in SCXE and enabled their stuff (I'm more familiar with its interface for that kind of thing) and then a marine, and edited the marine in starforge.


Are you sure the arbiters aren't cloaking them? biggrin.gif

Aight, Yoshi or Moose, make this a sticky in this very Forum.
Don't sticky this post make a new one called:
Unit Types or something like that and only the lists can be put there, for easier access and to know which ones have been tested. Don't wanna test something already tested.
BTW: You will need to PM a mod to make the sticky or something. We don't want questions or stuff in there just the Tested Unit types.
