You...finally...finished...This...?
HOLY crapE!!!!!
i must go find all my old friends who i used to play this map with!!!, except they all quit sc ;(
we used to play this endlessly even if it wasnt finished rofl
I gotta give you props for what is easily on the top ten maps of all time in SC. I think i might reinstall just to see the finished version. As a side note, squad support is a damn good map too.
Endaire, use winMPQ and use Compact. See if that does anything or not.
My brother and I knew BotD rather well, a long time ago. Our favorite map by him was always his version of The Gauntlet
. I always thought blood of the dragon (his name) was cooler than breath of the dying (d2 runeword), as far as acronyms go.
Congratulations on finishing the map, though.
Long memorable days of hard testing was involved in this piece of artwork, congrats to Nanaki and Endarire!
Even if I compact it via WinMPQ, the best I can get the quiet version is 1.57 meg. How much demand is there for this smaller version?

Oh my, I didn't even notice this. I've been a big fan of the 95% version, but I'm a bit dissapointed that there's little more after the 95% version. Personally, I was expecting about another two hours or so of gameplay added on to the map, but I should just rememeber that i was playing a 95% version, not a 50% version. I'll try it out this weekend if I can.
And good job on this. Out of all the SC RPGs I've played thus far, this by far has the most personality, although some are a bit cliched. But what counts is that this is a completed RPG with personality, not some overly complex map that's not past the brainstorming stage. Once again, congrats and good job. You really deserve it for finishing this.
Amen. 5 years late or not.
Most people who make maps want to do it just for some petty gratification. They'll make some highlight feature or do some silly terrain, then when its time to hunker down they'll find they aren't getting their petty gratification anymore when the realization kicks in that it actually takes work to complete it. Then the enthusiasm wears off and they quit.
It really is a test of will power and maturity to be able to actually finish things you start. It's called delayed gratification. Seperates the men from the boys.
Doom, since you finished, I request you email me that included playability survey. If you lost or lack it, I'll mail you a copy.

I meant that I finished the 95% version. And unfortunately, I haven't the time to finish the map yet. Unless you want me to completely the form off my 95% version experience?
i'm kinda curious, did you actually work on it the whole five years, or was a part of that a long hiatus?
This looks awsome I'm off to go play it, I dled the music, the theme is cool!
Ohh jsut noticed the filename is too long, prb should fix that? Unless its just my computer being stupid. Guess I'll just change it for now.

I think the map is older than five years. If you play it, you'll realize why it took that long. By far, one the most in-depth map ever made.
Beating the 95% version was enough for me... The battle system was truly a pain in the ass, so I can't play this all over again, i'm sorry. Good job with the storyline though.

i would play it, but i'm hit by pretty incredible lag whenever i try to. thats what you get for having a 10+ old comp
2904 triggers, seems like you put a lot of effort into this. I'll be sure to play it.

BotD made Squad Support, H20, Worms, and other maps.
And download 1.1 if you have 1.0. I feel stupid for not seeing it sooner.

Squad Support has to be the best map ive ever played.
Put a link for BotD's maps. I have his Chain of Command map though.
The map took about 3.5 years of work considering the breaks, but some of the delay was technological. It's taken a long time from my perspective to find enough people that have reliable broadband and computers that can handle this at a fair speed.

ADDITION:
The game took about 3.5 years of work to complete with some breaks over a 5 year period. Also, if you've finished the game, please email me your completed survey!

Hey endaire I played this quite a few years ago, was that version a testing version? It seemed pretty fine to me when I played it, or did you make a souped up better super version?
did you play faith and destiny? cause that was the stolen version of fate and destiny.

holy crap I did, I played the stolen version of fate and destiny. Wow what were the chances of that, so how was the stolen version "Faith and destiny" and "Fate and destiny" any different?
i dunno. faith is only 95% complete, while fate is fully complete. faith and destiny has been out for a LONG time now.
Oh ok I played for a few hours got far but to admit I did get a bit bored so I quit there, so I didn't get to the end of the game.
