Here's what happens when I make more complex shapes out of water platforms:

Nah, it's just one tile repeating, try to find some blends on the buildings. Maybe 3-tile stack.

There are only three possible tiles to use for repeating the walls. The others look a bajillion times worse.

Try using Basilica tops instead of bridge...

Oh the irony. Basilica tops could potentially look good, but it would be impossible to blend, making it only good for a screen shot and not actually good for integrating with terrain.

What's ironic about that statement?

It looks alot less blocky than mixing right and left bridges while trying to make square docks/walls.

I like where you're taking this. A few blocky spots, but good work overall. Keep it up!

In the city part, the left building In My Opinion looks the best. Good Job on the water paltforms as well.

I am in love with those buildings. Love the first/second floor type of thing, and i say dont bother changing the tiles. The high cliff by the building looks out of place though, sprite it with something metal or something like that.

A lot of people complained that they didn't like my Jungle waterfall.. but I thought it was good. I remade it almost exactly for this screen shot.

Actually it doesn't, and like I said you can't blend it, so that method is useless. The irony is that you never make anything useful, which I complained about. You make things that only look good in screen shots. And now you're telling me to do it after I told you that's idiotic.

These are by no means actual locations in a map. I'm just playing around and including as much stuff as I can in single shots. So you end up with a hill overlooking a river that seems out of place next to a those grand buildings. Additionally, most of the shots are barren without a lot of doodads because of the fact that I'm just messing around right now.

Excelent waterfall. thumbup.gif

About the building, there was an interesting trick involving wall traps. Experiment! happy.gif

Hey. Looking great. The only thing I might suggest is finishing the top-right sides of the second dock picture. You just left a few tiles out. Other than that it's looken good. smile.gif Keep up the good work.

Looks good, my only suggestion would be for the bridge-dirt blends. They look too... squarish... put some variety.. like instead of ______ as an edge try to ___|^|___ or something like that...

I believe he means to make it more natural and flowing, as apposed to having a lot of man-madish straight areas in your isom.

This was what happened in my first try to make a basilica bridge. You could say it was a big failure.

It looked weird why the top left portion had lights while the bottom right did not, so I took a second try and this was the result of the second try.

It still look ugly but at least it came out better than the previous one.

Try making it thicker and put more sprites, because it looks like this waterfall consists only from a fiew drops.
