That last map i posted works very well. So try it ^_^
I think im going to use something like it in a RPG...or something..
I'd refer to Bolt's map "Fighter Jet" but it's protected. I have no idea how it worked.
Maybe he can tell us how it works.
Interesting ideas, i haven't seen this fighter jet map, what makes it special?
Ok I didn't take time to read everyone else's method so sorry if im wrong, Have a unit on top of ur main unit somewhat largish and kill it at the same time create another of the same type making the location move further, Ive used this method just as a timer :/ really dont think it will work for you if im right it will only move in one direction but u can get it to move in others if using diff sizes
I just got how those triggers that bolt_head said would work, you would have locations trailing behind your unit in a sort of snake formation, but it would have pretty much the same effect as what i did with a dark templar. And it has the same problem: you can move backwards and you will be right beside it.
Im still trying to think of a good way to do this by the way
Hopefully it could be able to randomize the direction that the location gets moved to. (example in front or behind your unit)
maybe put it so that it only goes when there player isnt in the "snake" locations ?
I would be more inclined to help if i knew the reason for doing this. But since it hasn't been said I'm not going to offer anymore help.

I was going to make a rpg or something without lots of units placed on the map. But when you walk around it can make random encounters of enemys that attack you, but its no good if the units all spawn in the same place or halfway across the map. And i didnt want to make lots of location everywhere to spawn units. So the idea was to have a location somewhere nearby your hero that can spawn the enemy units. But i didnt have a way to move the location to the right places to do it.
