I actually changed my mind about the Vulture; I'm using a different unit instead

Let's see if I can whip anything worthwhile together in three days.

As for theme, are we allowed to kind of...redefine a unit's theme to fit what we have, as long as it internally makes sense? As in, could I (for example) make a Vulture a type of Battlecruiser and give it spells reflecting this, as long as it looked like one?

Of course, that's what I meant, it has to fit what you're doing. I could change SCVs into heavy assault vehicles, just so long as their abilities match the unit I'm making, I don't care what unit you used originally.

Wait...you said that content that was already in the game would not be judged. So if we made the most awesome animations ever from existing graphics, it wouldn't count, since every graphic was already in the game?

I think he meant the unmodded content.
Such as your marine has sub spines, OMG SUBSPINES!, he will not judge that but if you made the marine dance before he shot a subspine that stayed attacking the unit in circles for like five minutes, even if it had the same graphics, I think that counts.
Anyways, I've asked the most skilled people and none could solvemy iscript problem, so Either I won't be in or I'll find something else to do. Meanwhile enjoy your corboless contest
