Alrighty, let's see - was Sep. 11 planned? Of course not! A bunch of guys just got drunk, were totally like "lol" and hijacked a bunch of planes to miraculously maneuver them into buildings. No planning whatsoever... closedeyes.gif

But let's get to the root of it: your idea is that it was an excuse for invading Iraq.

Not just Iraq, but Afghanistan and any other areas the United States ends up invading on the same pretext. And it's not my idea, other people thought it up long before I did and I'm not altogether sure it's true.

I didn't read the topic, but... suppose it was set up by the government. What are you going to do about it?

freak this country up even more by feeding lies and corrupting the minds of our future generations.

that pentagon part of loose change was kinda very convincing...

Yeah, I don't really understand the Pentagon crap but you know till this day it still pisses me off to see the attacks on the towers. The towers were obviously hijacked I know that. But, what I really want to know is wtf happen with the pentagon? I want to know if it was a bomb or a freaking plane.

The above line has been approved by the Ministry of Truth as being doubleplus goodthink. Big Brother Bush is very happy with it.

In other words, it's exactly the kind of attitude none of us need. One of the best ways to give the government absolute power is to believe that they already have it. Which they clearly don't, or the United States would no longer be a representative democracy.

Please don't use some crap video for your basis in theories... :
http://911review.com/index.html
The site is really good... even attacks loose change and a bunch of other crap-spewing "resources". There is a massive amount of information on that site... including one page I love, all the "coincidences". Can't find it in the navigation atm.

I believe the crap out there, maybe even Loose Change, was actually made by the government to make conspiracy theories look foolish. Think about that and it's a great final blow in a cover-up.

And... that all really doesn't matter, because like Moose says, "What are you going to do about it?" Even if it wasn't our government's doing, they still used the event to irrationally invade Iraq (with the hidden motive to control their oil) and do a bunch of other stupid crap. This all pisses me off way too much to think about... so I'm not going to let myself get into it.

I understand perfectly what you say. I know no one could really do anything about it but I intended this thread for people to see and maybe get their opinions on it. I didn't intend this thread as a joke or people to start joking around. Hopefully, one day we will know the truth, that is if any of this is even true.

No, it wasn't. If you understood what you were questioning before you questioned it, it was the least convincing.

They don't have absolute power? Who are you to think that? Sure, you have the freedom of speech and peaceful protest. But who grants you that freedom? OH WAIT... The GOVERNMENT. When you have the power to grant and retract basic human freedoms, I think your power qualifies as absolute.

Okay, here's a good question for you: If the government has absolute power, why does it still hold elections?

Because it can. One person doesn't need to hold that absolute power for ever for it to be an absolute power.

Liberal Propaganda. Maybe if the creators didn't use scare tactics, I'd believe it a bit more. But probably not.

I believe I have the best idea, how about we all get over September 11 and move on with our lives? Seriously, we don't need 10 topics that repeat the same stuff we've already heard.

can you get move on if you know the government did it?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by HolySin on 2007-01-08 at 01:29:45
Yes. September 11 happened already, nothing we can change about it. I don't really care who did it at this point.

To give us a sense of control, whereas the elections are really just rigged?

Green_meklar, the power of the government is absolute, because it has the power to take away any of your rights at any moment. There are elections to make them think that they can choose their destiny, thus making them happy.

Unhappy people=unstability in the country=possible loss of power.

No, they do not. They have the power to take away my freedoms at any moment, but no one can take away my rights (except myself).

But if they're scared of losing power, then their power isn't absolute, is it?

In the times of absolutism the monarch was also afraid of loosing power (probably), but that doesen't mean that he didn't have absolute power.

No, it most certainly doesn't.

Face the facts that you are wrong. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. tongue.gif
