I hate it when people say Bush is the better candidate. He's done so many things wrong. For example, he brought religion into politics. He caused a half trillion dollar deficit; and he borrowed 87 billion from the house and the senate to keep the budget going. He caused several wars in office... and he points his fingers at "Terrorism". He attacks countries because he's irrational and has no evidence except that someone told him this country has a couple links to terrorists! Or is he finishing his father's work? He didn't even have the power to declare war, that's for congress to do. Checks and balances are there for a reason, and this is clear abuse.

And Bush is THE WORST public speaker ever. He contradicts himself in almost every speech. I'd like to ask what more bad things he has done for us in office, except an easier question to answer would be: what good has he done for us? I mean seriously I can't think of anything. All I hear are people mumbling "he did a pretty good job given the circumstances..."

Do you want your country led by a D¡ck and a Bush? I didn't think so. Kerry is only going to get elected because his advertising campaign was the biggest for a democrat. People will vote for him because "He's better then Bush."

No, right now we do need a president who will do "pretty good". The other choice does "extremely bad". At least Kerry won't be screwing over every American while claiming that he's always right about everything and that God is on his side. Speaking of that, that's the stupidest phrase I've ever heard. "God is with me." Yeah, until you lose! I bet Bush won't be saying "God turned his back on me." after he loses. @#% hypocrite...

My opinion of politics at the moment hmm I'd say this is one of the most politically charged elections in a long time.

QUOTE
The average American believes unquestioningly that Bush can do no wrong and can tell no lies.

We must speak to different kinds of 'average americans' because in the last few months I've heard so much Bush bashing its insane. hmm here are 40 reasons why Bush is not a good president..

1. National debt under Bush Jr. has increased so drastically that the average
American's estimated share of the national debt will be an astronomical $24,00
compared to $500 when Dubya first took office.

2. Under Bush Jr. there are now 43 million Americans with no health insurance

3. Responsible for and unemployment rate of 6%. There are now 9 million people
out of work in America-3.3 million more than when Bush took office.

4. He cut health care benefits for veterans.

5. Bush Jr. Deserted his unit during vietnam and was reportadely AWOL for over a
year from his assigned unit: The Texas Air National Gaurd, or as its referred to
by other military outfits, "The Champagne Division".

6. Despite a 13% unemployment rate among those aged 16-24, Bush Jr. Proposed to
eliminate youth oppertunity grants-A program provides job training to the
nations youth. A $225M program in 2002 is now being done away with so Bush can
have more money for Iraq.

7. He cut funding for 375,000 low income college students and reduced pell grant
amounts to such a severe degree that it effectively caused 84,000 students to no
longer be eligible for pell grants. Pell amounts have been overall reduced for
1.5 million students... its safe to say that the Bush daughters aren't eligible
for financial aid, so this won't affect the opulent lives of anyone Bush Jr. may
know.

8. Withdrew from the international criminal court.

9. First president in U.S history to refuse United Nations election inspectors
(during the US 2002 elections)

10. All-time U.S. (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign
donations.

11. The Bush administration had twice as many FBI agents fighting the drug war
than fighting terrorism prior to 9/11. Even after 9/11 more than 2000 agents are
wasting thier valuable time assigned to the war on drugs.

12. His proposed "free trade" agreements would result in the loss of U.S. jobs
to foreign markets and the exploitation of third world workers.

13. John Ashcroft

14. He has taken 11 official executive actions to undermine reproductive
rights...how long will it be before a woman is stripped of her right to choose?

15. Failed to fulfill his pledge to get Osama Bin Laden "dead or alive".

16. Wasted federal resources on a PR trip to Baghdad where he staged a
Thanksgiving meal at 6am with troops that were screened based on thier political
affiliation. And the Turkey? It was a prop.

17. His refusal to fire-or even repremand-Lt. General Jerry "our God is bigger
than their God" Boykin. Perhaps it's because Boykin said of the president,
"George Bush was not elected by a majority of voters in the United States. He
was appointed by God. He's in the white house because God put him there."

18. After sending troops off to fight in an unjust unprovoked war, he still has
yet to attend any soldiers' funerals.

19. His shameless nepotism for the rich and powerful. Elizabeth Cheney (daughter
of ol' censored.gif ) Got hooked up with a cool gig at the state department where she was
in charge of the $129 million middle east partnership inititive and then was
moved to daddy and uncle dubya's campaign payroll.

20. He dropped his dog on its head.

21. Bush Jr. is the first president to in U.S history to enter the office with a criminal record.

22. Bush Jr. has set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest a leader (10 million people), shattering the record for protests against any person in the history of mankind.

23. He slashed funding to the violence against women act.

24. He has invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of one billion dollars a week.

25 He appointed Charles Pickering, a notorious segregationalist from Mississippi, as a federal judge and suspiciously did so on Martin Luther King Day.

26. Bush has spent over 100 billion on Iraq, leaving states to face the largest budget crisis in decades and forced to cut off public services; now with the federal deficit at a new high Bush Jr. wants to award more tax breaks to the wealthy.

27.Under new Bust legislation (The clear skies initiative), power plants are now allowed to emit triple the amount of highly toxic mercury into the environment.

28. Bush Jr. Failed to protect 3 million acres of the Tongass National Forest from logging, the Tongass has the highest concentration of bald eagles on earth and has alreadt lost 700 square miles to logging with 33 more logging permits pending. Not even the sanctity of our national bird can compete with Bush campaign contributions provided by the forest industry.

29. He is on pace to have taken more vacation than any president in history including a 28 day vacation right before 9/11. Bush Jr. has taken 6 months of vacation in total…. Do you know anyone who gets that much vacation?

30. He pulled out of the Kyoto Agreement on global warming, which had been agreed upon by 178 other countries.

31. Bush Jr. is endorsed by fundamentalist Pat Robertson who claims that God told him Bush will win re-election and that “It doesn’t make a difference what Bush does because God is blessing him”. Bush keeps some great company, but keep in mind Robertson was the nitwit who blamed the 9/11 attacks on Gays and suggested we “nuke” the U.S. state dept.

32. He set the record for most executions by any governor in American history; 152 in total some of which were mentally disabled.

33. Has repeatedly stonewalled the public in the 9/11 investigations.

34. Bush Jr. declined to fully fund the AIDS initiative after promising to do so. The final cuts that resulted were $2 billion.

35. He still suggests that homosexuals are “sinners” and is pushing legislation that would forbid gay partnerships and deny fundamental civil rights on a national and local level.

36. Choked on a pretzel and nearly lost his life while seated in front of a TV.

37. Bush Jr. has gone to great lengths to prevent investigations of his friends Enron and Halliburton. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating the biggest corporate rip offs in history.

38. Bush Jr. has set the record for fewest amounts of press conferences by a president since the advent of television.

39. Responsible for a $521 billion budget deficit – less than four years after inheriting a $200 billion surplus.

40. He has made repeated attempts to legalize oil drilling in the national wildlife refuge.

Sociallism is more of an ecomic state that a govermental one, but for the sake of it. Socialsim is where all coorporational buissness is under control by the goverment, and the wealth and resources are genorously and evenly distributed among the people. Its basically a utopian type of goverment that could never exist in todays world, where the majority of countries are capitalist or something similar.

Also there have never been any true socialist or comminist(which is very similar) countries. Those such as the former Soviet Union,Cuba,China,North Korea and Vietnam are authoritarian tyranny.

He lied, and 900+ Americans died for it, not to mention the thousands and thousands of Iraqis who bit it.  George Bush is a murderer.

How exactly did he lie, if its because he didn't stop 9/11, thats not totally his fault. Clinton knew about it for a long time, but did HE do anything? No!

Plus, Bush just doesn't have flow to his words, call it a speech impediment, call it whatever, it doesn't mean he's stupid.

Bush got great Grades in harvard (sp?) A's and such, Kerry had a C average.

Kerry is constantly contradicting himself, watch Fox News (cable channel 49, not fox5) "The o'Reilly (sp?) factor" and a lot of am stations. For instance Kerry inflicted2 of the 3 injuries he had in war on himself, just to get a purple heart. He goes with whatever is popular. He was in one state driving an SUV, and in another hes saying how they should be decreasing the pollution that big cars such as SUV's emit, when asked about the SUV he was driving, he said, "that was MY WIFE'S"! He's a Hippocryte (Deja Vu!)

Plus! Global warming isn't even happening! Scientests have proven it, the other scientists need SOMETHING to produce so they say that the earths heating up. Humans only contribute to about 4 or so percent of any pollution or "heating of the earth", the rest are mostly volcanoes of which we can NOT controll.

Now This is just my oppinion about bush and kerry, some is fact. Believe what you want to believe. What do i care.

Well, maybe if you had taken the implication in that out-of-context phrase of mine that you quoted (HINT/SPOILER! It was the word "Iraqis") then you would have understood that I was talking about the Iraq war that he has yet to extract us from. Hmm... What about when he said that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, when in fact there was no intelligence to back up his claim? That's a lie if I ever heard one.

Let's say for a second that Kerry did shoot himself on purpose to receive a purple heart. Let's say that he was a crook, and a flip-flop, and he got bad grades in college. Let's pretend that George Bush has no criminal record, actually served in Vietnam instead of going AWOL (that's reality, forget that part), and has absolutely no ties to the oil industry and stands to gain nothing from this war in Iraq except the appreciation of its people. Guess what?

I'd still vote for Kerry. He is by far the lesser of two evils. Any man who would dare to vote for a person who has stated that God is on his side and that he is always right is dangerous. Decisiveness has nothing to do with bravado and self-rightousness. You know who else is self-rightous, in the same vein as Bush? Osama bin Laden. Wow, they have way more in common than I thought.

We need a president who is cautious, and plans ahead. Bush's $100 billion deficit, terrible foreign policy, and quagmire in Iraq just shows me that he isn't capable of handling the country. He acts on impulse. That doesn't mean he's decisive - it means he jumps to conclusions.

George Bush has only harmed the average citizen, and yet still has his vote because Bush knows how to market himself - a "compassionate conservative". He uses religion, a warped view of patriotism, and scare tactics (see the recent color-coded alert in NYC. That's another example of jumping to conclusions by the way) to keep himself on top. It makes me sick.

One last thing that sets off my bull!@#$ detector - I don't deny that Kerry drove an SUV and panders to what the public wants, but hey - if he delivers, who cares? It's his job to give people what they want. I can't believe that you would think that it counts as a strike against him. I wonder when it became a bad thing to do what the people who voted you into office want you to do. Bush certainly does it. That point holds no validity when put into the context of a political arena. Same goes for Kerry's ability to contradict himself. Bush does it too, so that puts them on even ground. And who cares if someone misspeaks once in a while? The candidates are only human. What, do you expect your politicians to be flawless in every capacity? Sorry, there's no human on the planet who can meet your criteria.
