What is your view on politics at the moment? With the election coming up and a new president hopefully on the way. What do you think the new prez will do? What do you think of the political system of the moment? Would you like a new president? Or the old one. Post your dang opinions. tongue.gif

I think America is going to be destroyed by a supernatural force beacuse they are becoming to powerful and the supernatural force does not like anything changing the setup.

Well, acually, thats part of a story im writing, but, I think the other guy (not bush) will get elected

I'm a Democrat. I was opposed to the war in Iraq, and I hope Bush gets his come-uppance this year. I just don't get why people still support him. He lied, and 900+ Americans died for it, not to mention the thousands and thousands of Iraqis who bit it. George Bush is a murderer.

Might want to add that these elections are actually happening IN USA!! Cuz, no, I didn't hear a thing about it... Though it's all too normal, being a resident of Quebec smile.gif

GG Bush (whatever happens)

politics go farther than the election...just on a smaller scale. I can't think of any examples that ya'll could relate to.

anyways, as far as that goes, my friend made a good point. I think America should turn socialist; we can't deal with a democratic republic right now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2004-08-13 at 23:36:05
what is socialist???

I know what it is, the question is how do I explain it?

I don't know how to explain it...sort of like communism, but not at all like it. Uh, someone with more intelligence can take this one.

The fact that im a liberal democrat speaks multitudes about how i feel regarding the presidency. Bush has censored.gif ed up in ways i couldn’t fathom. Im not even speaking of one specific event (the war of instance), ive been utterly astounded at the foolishness with which he executes his every move. Id go on but im curently getting raped in a FFA@LT so thats all i have to add for now...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Nozomu on 2004-08-14 at 01:40:18
The way I see it, Democrats base their decisions and policies on facts. Republicans base their policies on faith, hope, and "values", whatever that means. As if religion has any place in politics in the first place. As if any one person has a monopoly on values. As if the word "values" wasn't so subjective. I could go on...

I'm not really interested in what happens over there exept that I hope that america gets a president that dont censored.gif up the world any more..

Clinton's return would be a dream come true. I wish Hillary would run, I'd vote for her.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kame on 2004-08-14 at 19:05:28
Hillary would be dead a week into the aggresive running. America's too sexist for a woman to run for president pinch.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Nozomu on 2004-08-14 at 19:09:15
I know, it sucks. Hopefully the young generation will change things in the next 20 years or so. Maybe we'll see a woman president within our lifetimes! That would rule.

Im sure in the next 80 years we will.

Biggest Atrocities under Bush
1. Passing of the Patriot act
2. Invasion of Iraq.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Chill on 2004-08-14 at 19:32:28
Id vote for Hillary... if i wasnt like, 14...

Having Bill back would be censored.gif ing awesome. That dude knew what he was doing... except for like, the blow job... but hey, im fine with that. What he does being closed doors/on a sofa is his own business. I guess it would kinda suck having him serving as president because of what Nozomu said about Republicans and their values... i just dont see them letting go of that hummer any time soon...

On a side note i totally believe that Clinton didnt have sex with that Monica chick anyway. Technically thats foreplay, not sex.

do you guys think the american government is corrupt?

perhaps this should be a new topic
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2004-08-14 at 20:01:40
i think society is corrupted happy.gif i would make a utopia where there is no anger no money no voilence...ah but thats my little perfect world, and the world isnt perfect so i dont bother our government is ok
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Nozomu on 2004-08-14 at 20:15:43
Yes, the government is corrupt. The average American believes unquestioningly that Bush can do no wrong and can tell no lies. This gives Bush and his cronies all the leeway they need if they want to act in their own interests. Has there been one policy change in Bush's presidential career that hasn't benefitted him, his family, or his friends?

Our government places too much of their focus on making money (for themselves, more often than not), and not making people's lives better. I can't wait for those old guys to die and for some young guys from my generation to take charge and clean things up.
