Great idea, but have it start and leave the game, that way no idiots will pop a blood vessel cause you won't go. If you're only giving it to people you know I better start sucking up, eh?

You might also want to have something where you can make it create the game name from a "set" as it won't let 2 games with the same name go at once then if it starts the game.. something like a (1) or (2) etc after the game name.

This seems like a good idea. But if blizz doesn't approve I'd have to take it down.

Does the bot recreate when people are downloading?

Great idea.

Make it create a game from there either:

1) it waits 10 minutes and nobody joins, it recreates and the cycle begins again.

2) it waits 10 minutes and people join within those minutes then it let's the people download and when everyone is done, it presses the "ok" button. At the briefing room, it presses cancel, and reverts to the bnet channel room. Then the cycle begins again.

The only problem is if someone else or if people are in the old game, then the bot will have to create another game with a different name, is this possible?

Yup.

You'll have to put in like 7 different game names. At the end of the cycle. It will try to join each of your join games with an invalid password (, so it wont actually join it). When it hits a "Game Not Found" it will create that game.

I will only release MapBot to people I know/trust/examined on SEN. The following people will get it if they want it for sure: Yoshi_Da_Sniper, MindArchon , Cheeze(U), DeathKnight (I cant do that cool D), Zombie, Clokr_, High, Coko, Mini_Moose_2707, EzDay2, BeeR_KeG[eM], Vindexus, Revelade, (U)Bolt_Head, ........ (I probably forgot lots)

I'm sorry but this website will not be hosting or providing offical support for this program. Blizzard would not approve of the spam and waste of system resources if too many people got this.

Making a bot for this is a waste of time and along the lines of what yoshi said, Battle.Net doesn't need a 100 map creators hosting games at 10 minute intervals.

You can make it say what you want when you want, leave games, join them.. etc.

MA don't allow to many people to use it, because you know that those few will give it to their mates, who will pass it on. Any way you can make it only held by one person at a time, like each person you want to have it gets system clearance so it can possibly work online?

I don't think he wants to host it on your server anyways. He mentioned about keeping it private.

Mind, to keep it really private, you should have it connect to some server and ask for a password, and if too many people get it, change the password. lol

How this works.

People who are allowed to use it, will tell me their account. I will add their account to the access list.

On connection, if your account is on the access list it will continue to login, otherwise it will disconnect. This is already implented. I suppose I could add a password to it aswell. Kind of a double protection.

Yeah, that'd be fine with the accepted usernames only thing. I agree that noone should be allowed to spread this. I would hate to be playing on B.net and just see a bunch of "Kill da Zergling DL" games created.

Spam bots are bad enough.

It starts the game and leaves during the brief.

Do you think maybe you could have it just click Start and then when the game starts it just says "Hope you have fun" or something and then leaves?

MindArchon, nice idea if it was public I would use it. But a suggestion for your own use... make a list of the people on a server like freewebs and have the program "Find text on page" if it doesnt find it it won't login the bot.
