If the government stops chasing those people, your son or doughter would be more likely to use them, becuase they don't fear the police is going to get them in a jail!

Wrong, they would stop using them, because there would be no risk. Kids use drugs because they want to rebel. If all of a sudden it's not rebellious, they won't even give pot a second glance.

Dw, why spend money of war? War dont solve nothing. Why not spend it on schooling so kids of next generation learn something like the kids today all were learning is how to defend ourselfs on streets and watching lots of war stuff on tv. Drugs not that bad, weed is nothing compared to military. Military is just a war breeding hungry :censored:es.

You're getting into a whole other debate. I have no opinion either way on the war, really. My point was, we could be using the 1.8 billion dollars on other things.

The government could spend a portion of that to deport all the pot smokers in America to the Netherlands, and we won't ever have to worry about spending $1.8 billion on the war on marijuana again. But then again, there are other drugs...

Good luck getting that act passed. It won't get the popular vote.
I'd say about 30 million people would vote "no" on it (they'd all be pot smokers coincidently).
