You
really love these people don't you

Yes i feel so loved...
"Properties" is CLICKABLE! You need to SELECT UNIT TYPE FIRST !!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can fix any normally fixable and changable thing in SCXE.
But you all mostly ask for unchangable things.
Can be changed:
--> the look of menus
--> dialog windows
--> hotkeys
--> toolbar/other icons/pictures of the editor. (I mean startup banner-like things)
--> strings, including translation to other languages (No, I know only English and Russian)
--> unit stats in editor, not in game(!) (size, ground<>air, building<>men,...)
--> upgrade parameters
--> rearrange units between "folders"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What CANNOT be changed
They require a memory patcher, like 'stardraft control center', or changing things in the editor's engine:
>1. Starcraft built-in free sounds feature
>3. protecting a map with Proedit
>4. making buildings stick to the grid
>5. custom team colors
>6. enabling square tilesets (apart from ISOM)
>7. combine 5 editors within the X-tra editor
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I WANT YOUR IDEAS ABOUT CHANGING CHANGABLE THINGS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For example, you might want to download my SCXE-like editor, Ultimedit (~380kB)
Download from [PlanetAiur.narod.ru]

Scmdraft and Xtra are the best for me! tongue.gif
Scmdraft is better for "terraforming"
I just love Xtra triggering system!
My thoughs exactly!
Add:
SF like
SCMDraft (no matter the versions) are map editors built from scratch. And have all the added value of some1(s) giving 2 the trouble of doin'em in the 1st place!
Altough
SCXE is an editor based on
SC files it has also is value by allowing us 2 use more potencial than the
StarEdit allowed... so it also has it value, maybe not as great as the other 2, but wth.
They're here 4 us 2 use... n' every1 may pick what tickles him/her the fanciest.
Edit reason: Duh... N' fix quote.
I would like an editor that is a combination of X-tra Editor, Starforge, and Scmdraft 2. You can snap units to the grid properly (unlike Starforge) It should be able to place any unit and sprite. It can work with terrain normally or place squqre tiles like Starforge. Trig edit like Starforge.

You can snap to grid in starforge. Starforge can place any unit/sprite. You can make square and isom terrain in starforge. You fu¢king idiot.
Agree with u on this 1,
Kenoli.
The
SF's only prob (2 me) is that it isn't fully functional... The undo button, creep, Pylon aura, etc. If it was, I'd use it mostly n' only left the triggers 2 do with
SCXE.
Obviously, we have a conclusion here. SCXE is not something made from scratch and will not do 'impossible' things. Anyways, I do believe starforge needs to be improved.
Edit: Sorri.. changed a typo, i mean SCXE is NOT made from scratch.
I would like to see a mode where you could place units in certain formations. Like a grid of marines where each marine is 3 squares away from the other one and you have 3 marines per side.
The copy button should also have a paste button, so that you can add stuff to other triggers quickly and easily. Like if you wanted to add a sound you uploaded to all your message triggers.

Just use ctrl C and ctrl V
Ummm screwed, X-tra was the only program not made fomr scratch, it made from original editor. Yes, i wish SF would show pylon aura and stuff, but that doesn't matter too much because you can guess and test. scmdraft is good for placing things and doing terrain and I use SF 2 for triggers and some of the other cool stuff it has.
SF2 triggers. I just want to mention you will always have to press the mouse button to do triggers, but unless in X-tra you have to use the mouse a lot more. If you do it w/o the mouse, it is a lot slower. Read the SF trigger thing in the tips thingie if you don't understand SF triggers.
I like the grid idea, but it isn't too hard to do that because you can use the X Y axis thing in SF or use the arrow keys to keep everything in the exact square thing.
How did Vindexus double post??
Oh well.
What's also possible:
•Allowing placement for players 1-256
•Allowing placements of units that are not used and not registered in Starcraft(Units 0-65535[I think it's 65535...])
•Addition of the triggers/conditions/whatever that clokr_ discovered.
•Other things that aren't listed....
Bah wait till I get my computer back and I can screw up my staredit.
Oh yea, why can't you use 0x0 for unit sizes? The reason?
You can also add more functions to it if you know how to use one of those resource editors or whatever.
-DEATHKNIGHT>"Oh yea, why can't you use 0x0 for unit sizes? The reason?":
If you are asking about Ultimedit, it's almost completely impossibe to place 1 unit on the spot, not 100 stacked.... But If you would like, it's easy, send me (shambler0@email.com) your email. I'll send it.
Pylon aura: well.... hard, but I'll try...
And about marine formation: i don't get what do you mean yet.

Well, possible, but VERY HARD!!!!!!
Actually, I could even do that when I get my computer back. :l
I don't use those weird tools like arsenal II or whatever. I go with the individual tools and a little hex editing.
I aint no programmer, and i think that x-tra editor is fine. I really dont see anything wrong with it, i just switch between it and starforge
Okay, we dont need another version of X-tra
the thing we need is a new version of Starforge!
starforge is the ultimate campaign editor! the only reason why i use sf AND x-tra is cause the isometrical terrain in starforge sucks.. and starforge is sumthing buggy..
Triggers: Starforge is the fastest, eziest, coolest, etc.. program to make the triggers.. if sumone doesnt agree with this.. it's just because he/she doesnt understand how it works.. (you have to type the triggers instead of clicking 60times per trigger, thats all)
the only
with SF is that it sumtimes corupt the map..
with a Starforge 3.. i would completly erase x-tra from my computer...
Things for a good SF3:
no more bugs while doing the triggers (sumtimes it crashes for no reason)
and a better isometrical terrain editor..
Too bad teh guy who made SF iosn't going to make a new version. I just use scmdraft2 for isometrical terrain. It lets you place sprites and not have to redo them if you do somehting with X-tra. scmdraft2 is good because you can make sure your units are in legal placements, then stack other stuff, then do trigs in SF2 and the cool pallette terrain.
I'm going to have to vouch for SCXE! I'm using it to make Grand Theft Auto: Mexico City. Starforge is a little too complex for me, but given time, which i don't have, i'm sure i could see that it is the better editor.
about StarForge >> to Suicidal Insanity, and his SCMdraft.
Is there any valuable requests?
SCM 2 triggers is owning SF. The only purpose SF serves for me is map protection(i know its not good, but none other works for me), map resizer, and square terrain.

Especially in HD space it takes...
SCMDraft is far less HD size consuming.
Did u tried
ProEdit (map protection/compression mainly), yet?
The Facts
SCMDraft's sprites don't take up as much space as Starforge's.
You can "Flip" Sprites in SCMDraft.
Starforge doesn't work for me.
SCMDraft owns Starforge.
There are much more fatcs that I can't remember.
SCMdraft vs Starforge has been around for a while. Since Heimdal stopped, SCMdraft is going to make a major leap in the 3rd party editing world on its next release.
Which will be when? 2015?
Probably a couple months from now, I don't know.

I already listed some possible ones. Those are only "some" too.
