When you guys get married and have kids, teach your kids to play Starcraft. Hopefully, they'll teach their kids, and they'll teach theirs, and so on. You can also teach your friends, provided they're willing, of course, and encourage them to teach their friends. If all goes to plan, and if all of you do it on a large scale, Starcraft will still live (at least in your respective areas).

everyone changes the games they play and like alot, so of corse people will stop playing but more and more will continue to play

I voted Yes.. because I've stopped playing StarCraft altogether.. and I'm sure many others have or will too..

StarCraft may be played from time to time just to bring back memories or because it is simply a classic game. Though, the possibility of it becoming as big as it was before is some what decreasing...

But hey.. This is my opinion compared to thousands of others!

If Starcraft ever dies (and let's all hope it doesn't), the vast majority, if not all, of us will probably be in our graves.

I say yes. Cause eventually Blizzard will stop selling it and people's CD's will break so they'll be no more left. Or it will die out.

Actually... the game will always be... with the actual rate of people burning copies of SC and the distribution of CD Keys and what not..

Starcraft is slowing down but it isn't gonna die so quick. Big games like this are hard to kill properly.

Ya, I knew that. Mostly I think that the reason why is that people stop playing B.net cause of their friends are stopping. I think thats the reason though.

Starcraft will be popular for a while. The popularity will skyrocket when Starcraft 2 is made in 2-3 years. Starcraft has at leat 15 more years. Starcraft is a classic. Even when blizz takes it off, people will still play.

Fifteen more years?! Are you out of your mind? Old games like Delta Force, which was very popular back in 1998, sometimes I go on there and see only seven people online. That game is pretty much dead. And it only took six years. Even StarCraft will die. Think about it, would Battle.net even offer Battle.net for StarCraft in 2020? I don't even think Diablo 1 still offers Battle.net anymore. Well, mine doesn't work for some reason.

Battle.net is ONE server... They can't just cut Bnet for 1 game, every others will go down as well... Except if they lock it xD.

BTW I couldn't get to burn BW :/

We'll some people mine not want to teach their kids about SC, Cause some people I know says, "If you play SC, Your life will be messed up in the future!" And some people mine think. SC will rid their children's minds and make them not do their homework/Projects and destory their future! Thats what some people that used to play SC at my hometown say!

The only thing SC will do is teach you that you can kill a huge Zerg swarmin one sitting.

Battle.net is the master server and each war3/frozen throne has its own slave server (still B.net though) and D1,D2,war2 and sc are on another slave server. Thats why several times useast has gone out for sc and not war3.

They actually could shut down one game altogether though, they could just ban all the cd keys for that particular game.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-09-27 at 12:34:48
Lol... Wouldn't that be a little... Long??
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Helios on 2004-09-27 at 16:14:43
What would be long ? banning the cd keys ? not at all. I presume all the cd keys on the B.net server are listed according to the game they corespond to, so banning them would be very very easy. sad.gif

I say yes. Cause, theres starting to be alot of Koreans! Cause then later on Koreans will stop playing as well.

I dont get how koreans playing starcraft would be a reason that people will stop playing SC. Anyways, i think that SC will be around for quite some time. People are still getting to know SC. New people are starting SC. So definitely...starcraft will be here for a long time...
