And it's even lower of you to keep arguing over a mistake. DevliN was mistaken, tell him the facts and then shh.

Anyway, i sent a registration and if i finish my zelda map then ill do that. I havent actually started mapping but i have plenty of ideas planned out. I definitely think that the map that wins will be either an RPG or a brand new concept, most likely the latter if someone perfects it.

Also, a question: is an open beta test allowed or must we do the map solely without ideas and concepts and testers helping.

You can do all the testing you wan't, but all the triggers and terrain must be your own work, if you get ideas/concepts from others then that's ok since that is part of map making.

LOL i saw my name listed there as Luong Pham. I would of put feelingshorter or my sc name but i thought it meant real name. *STUPID STUPID STUPID ME* Anyways, will these maps be released to the public in anyway or form or will you have a panel of judges/public voting thing or what?

Diplo maps are extremely hard to balance because to this date, gold 7.3 - 7.8 is still uneven (IN MY OPINION, no flame please).

How will the prizes be sent? Cash in the mail, or Paypal?

Idol your such a nice guy to host this contest for such an old game. I hope this contest makes every USM online for the better. Ill definitly let you test my diplo map first if you want to. I surely hope i dont fail, since im such a hardcore diplo player and i want a origional, made from scrap map that is even.

The maps can be distributed publicly by the author at any time for any reason (beta testing, spreading it around), this will not affect our judgement in anyway because we judge what is submitted to us under the rules and credentials of the contest, but you better bet the top 5 maps will be infamous.

Thanks, I wanted to contribute somthing to the map making community. (although most of them hate me

) Who knows I might do this every year.

And its intresting, Idol, that your going to donate such large ammounts of money for a contest on a game that you plan to quit playing after its cver..... Maby after you play all the submitted map that you will change your mind. I admit that i dont like most of the USM maps online right now because no one updates them or they are uneven. This contest, which is on multiple sites will surely bring about new, origional, and fun maps. I remember when zone control first came out, i couldnt stop playing it. Thats what i want to achieve with my map.
