Moogle, you're right. It almost seemed too much like a popularity contest. However, those who got voted for the most happened to be some of the most respected people, so I'm happy with the results

I'm just wondering what's the purpose of a map review team. Will it just display the rating of each map and that is it? Or will it somehow affect the rankings of the map authors as well? There are so many possibilties with it. I trust you can make the best ones mr. purity.

Well, I imagine the purpose of the map reviews will be so before you download the map there's a little option or something that says "Read Review" so you can get a sort of expert opinion of the map before you download it.

Lets change this contest alittle, i rather see how person review skills are, maybe should get each person trying out for this to write a review on a map. Then send it to you isolatedpurity, then you can post them all at sametime then we can vote for people. That way noone else see's person review only you do then public votes by review not popularity contest anymore.

Kind of a little late for this... though I wouldn't have done it this way. Approving maps for the DLDB and writing a few sentences about the map as you approve it isn't really that hard of a job, especially when you don't have any other jobs here.

I think it would have been better to have us actually write something rather than have this be a popularity contest. I don't have any sour grapes over this or anything, I just think it would have been more fair to see submissions made by the contestants. But oh well, congrats guys!!
