Staredit Network -> Concepts -> Making 0 Location Bound :D

Come on Bolt you should do it smile.gif I could do it but the amount of time spent on doing it would seriously cut into schoolwork time. Which in my current position is bad. Anyway back on topic, if you made this map bolt you would be above uber. You would be god. Well, more of a god than you already are.

Whats a bound without the explosions, just a game on Battle.net where the purpose is to do something and complete something.

Bounds; Process of completing tricks or obstacles to reach the end,

thats all they are.

I meant using something like the grid system to enable movement of units as it were from anywhere, and have it work off units killing each other and such.

You could have diff spawn locations if you wanted to use different units to do the sections, say use the middle for the first one, reg zerglings for the 2nd, devourign ones for the 3rd an so on with burowing units. Just use the Stack command for units and make them all burrow then make it so to activate the next "bound area" you have to "activate" or kill a switch which sets that unit for the spawn point. And when you command 0 units give 1 zergling owned by whatever player to player 1. Ya guys get what im sayin? biggrin.gif

Yeah, you could even use the same units if you were so inclined. You could make a counter keep track of how many lifes you have lost.l

EDIT: I think I have a lot of typos in here, I found two but I was too lazy to search for more. Time to go get 5 hours of sleep then enter a grueling day of work.

Well, technically Bolt's bound was a 2-location bound counting anywhere. The problem with resizing Anywhere to make a true 1-location bound is that if you said "Center location Anywhere on all units at location ???" If you resizing anywhere, what location could you put for the second box? Nothing. So a 1-location bound or a 0-location bound are thrown out for the ideas of explosion effects, as you need at least 2 locations to do an explosion effects bound. You could however, as everyone has been saying, make explosions from other things such as Siege Tank shots or Lurker splash. Even then you would probably end up using Anywhere for some things if you got advanced. You could make the map a spiral, starting in the middle, and you work your way outward, getting past siege tank shots, lurker spikes, and maybe invisible bunkers full of firebats if you aren't afraid to use Anywhere, thus making it a 1-location bound instead of 0.

you could however use anywhere as a center location and spawn/kill units in it smile.gif and having tonz o levels on the same spot lol =)

actualy i have it all figured out. i might even do it. but then again... a showoff bound... lol. right...

Salacious is right, you need anywhere. gj Salacious.

Seems to me if you want to do a better bound than Bolt's, just make a one location (technically2) bound with more obstacles.
