Wonder if you could use Location ANYWHERE to create 0 location bound?,
It would be possible with a tool and the Grid Method
i think 10x10 Mine Grid would be approperiate

You can't move location "anywhere", so how would you specify what to create...

And doesn't the grid method require locations, thus contradicting the map's name?

It's imposible to make 0 Location Bound.
Anywhere is really the whole map and you can't really move it.

Grids require at least 1 Location.

Unless you plan a bound with only units attacking each other and you gotta work as a team to beat them and stuff, use the old zergling burrow trick then it is posible.
You can only do it with some of the old school bound tricks like Snow Bound.

"Anywhere" is a location. Therefore it is impossible to make a 0-location bound, but I do think it's possible to resize the location "anywhere". If you had 0 locations, you couldn't use any triggers for victory, levels, or whatever. Remember that anywhere is a location.

Simple. Make it a sucky bound. But you can't die tongue.gif

Well this is how you do it: make obstacles with attaacking units and burrow tricks, etc. Have lives, and make respawn point right at center of map.

I think it would be easier to just have the one extra location.

I'm wondering though, what's the point of having a bound using so few locations? I don't think you need that many extra for things. It just makes things confusing when you have an error in your triggers.

He wants to make so he can say he's better than Bolt, who made a 1 Location bound. tongue.gif

lol, that makes sense. If you change the size of anywhere, will Sf or scmdraft or X-tra or w/e revert it back to normal?

Does that mean i should make it first, I told some Oo member how one could be done and I belive he made one.

DT has the right idea.

Knowing the give-order would be quite useful.

Yeah usefull like required.

Use the give order system, and I think it deals with splash damage and unallying, right? An enemy tank/firebat attacks burrowed units?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by (U)Bolt_Head on 2004-11-29 at 15:23:19
I would put seige tanks on a cliff and have burrowed units below. Then i would alternate the players of the burrowed units and allow the seige tanks to attack them. You would die from the spash damage.

so its possible? not counting anywhere =)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-11-29 at 15:41:48
Yes it is, but it wouldn't be a great bound, you couldn't be respawned anywhere but in the middle, so the bound would have to be set up that way, and tanks will usually try to fire at the same unit, this always pisses me off ranting.gif , so you would have trouble making them attack the units you wanted unless you had them at maximum distance and had a 2 or 4 by something sized part for each obstacle.

Just have units appear ready for use by giving them from a burrowed unit at that location, and that will work.

yopu know, you could use zerg units, tht could burrow, or have an arbiter cloak air units each explison covering a different unit...

I think i'm going to try this

Edit: or maybe not lol.

It's possible tongue.gif but all it would be is explosions in the exact middle of map and running in and out of it tongue.gif woops nvm... how would you even tell where to kill YOUR unit?

For those who havn't read any of the replies *CoughVoidArchonCough*.

The way you create 'explotions' would be to use spash damage from units such as a tank.

PS. If you can change the size of anywhere you could make differant spawn locations. Assumeing you could move the anywhere location.

Actually it is possible to make if you have units using normal attacks to kill each other, like certain units get given to evil computer and such. and you have to burrow from some, within time limit and such, and have to kill something, since that doesn't require a locaiton.
