Moose uses 800x600
It's still a good practice to design your site for 800x resolution and build up from there.
Just like how you're still supposed to test your site to see it loads fast enough for 56k users...
As well as different browsers.

It's 800x600 compatible because my school uses it (so I assume others do as well). It's a resolution I seriously don't like, but I strive to make it the MINIMAL supported rez.
The banner expanding thing is just for people who use higher resolutions, so they are rewarded by seeing it expand instead of an empty space.
I HATE sites that have a predefined table that leave spaces on the sides of your page. You ALWAYS make sites to strech to 100% of the page.

Dude, the new banner's Title needs to be centered properly. It's too far to the right and the snow background of the images at the left doesn't really fit SEN's theme colors

It's not really that the new one sucks. I like the hydralisk and stuff but it could've been touched up alot better.

The banner's title is centred just fine. The image is meant to be cut off at the users screen rez so it doesnt feel as empty on the left.
The colors are just fine, I assure you. A little contrast doesn't hurt.
