alright well... i think thaty the oldf banners was better than the old one i mean the new one and so well maybe you should change it because that makes it looked more like a mapping sight and was friendlier more then the hydralisk which isnt prettyy anyways i mean who wants to look at a hydralisk with it's scary face wtf and also because the trigger box looked like mappiung so it looks more like a mappiung sight which it is so thats better too and so newbs dont might think its not a mapping sight

I liked the old one too.

I change it every once so often for variety. If not a hydralisk or the trigger window, then what?

BOTH! Make some more and randomize them.

I could make it a member choice on what image they want to see smile.gif.

That'd take up massive bandwidth though seeing how multipule images would be used.

Plus, you would never see the new ones I make, you never know, you might just like it.

I suppose its a good idea if I seperate the left side from the right side, and we should add the options "Default" and "Randomize".

Alright, after reading your post again I have to reply to this. First of all, it's spelled 'site'. Also, how can you make a site with the words "STAREDIT" and "MAPS" plastered all over it.

Don't forget "None" option. So I can turn that off and make the top portion of sen NOT take up my entire screen. I came here to post, not to see massively oversized images and larger than necessary title bars.

How would it take up massive bandwidth? A person either loads image A or image B...
It'll take up more bandwidth the first few days when people play with the option and maybe a little extra when you release a new image...

*Ðeathknight tests site on 800x600.

Ok, using the site on 800x600, the banner takes up half the screen! Then, the map making tip and the navigation menu take up the other half!

Actually, I have no clue how 800x600 users can even navigate the site. It is incredibly difficult.

*Ðeathknight switches back to 1024x768.

That snow terrain starcraft and the hydralisk look pretty good.
What makes the banner ugly is that planet the hydralisk is standing on.

DK: You should try it in 640x480

Alright I was exaggerating when I said entire screen but that doesn't change the fact it is oversized.

My computer screen resolution goes no lower than 800x600, and no higher than 1024x768. Anyway, Yoshi, do you want some screenshots of "screwed up" stuff in Starcraft? So that you could make a banner from that? tongue.gif

Maybe not you, but majority of people wanted to see something in the empty space. We could add the none option to remove the image with staredit network, but entire screen would be a different option.

I suppose so. I'll try to get the two images seperated sometime this week.

The new banner is fine, but i think it could've been cleaned up a bit. The "StarEdit Network" title looks too tacky and crude.

Skipping though all the stuff . . .

I think its a fine bannor but the SC scean needs to be faded in or slanted at the least. The change from a hydralisk to the starcraft screenshot is too sudden.

Why cant i see this new banner?

Refresh a couple times or click on the image and select "view background image" or "view image" or whatever your browser has and it should make it update your cache.

i like this one better, but could you guys fix something, in between the two bars where it says Star Edit Network, to the left a bit, is a straight line between the picture borders, it kinda makes me angry >.< though im probably the only one who noticed that blushing.gif

I barely noticed that... I'll fix it on the weekend since its not too noticible.

The hydralisk looks kinda pale. You should darken him up, give him a tan and he'll look sexy cool1.gif

He's actually an action figure, believe it or not. He looked so real, I decided to use it anyway.

While we are on this topic... could the person's zerg pet be changed in this url? : http://www.staredit.net/index.php?&act=Mun...pet_name&st=160 His name is more than 200 charactors long, and it is distoring the layout of the page.

Ya, but apparently it is expected that people have a 800x640 screen size. (Please correct me if I am wrong, bolt. Remember the slight warn level increase I got? tongue.gif )

Not expected but that resolution is vastly outdated. I can barely even go that low in my computer. tongue.gif
