What about a rating system, that you could rate peoples signitures or avatars in their profile, and have a display of the top rated pictures. Just naming some random idea.

Buildable PMs - Each member has a set number of PMs he/she can send and store, right? So, if you buy supply depots from the store, you can increase the number of PMs you can send and store.

I don't know if this has been suggested earlier in this thread, but I'll just post it here anyway. How about having a display name separate from your username? Your username remains the same all throughout, but the display name can be altered to your liking. That way, you can change your name without having to buy name changes from the store.

Hell, why don't we make everything Starcraft units/buildings, and you buy them and such. When you view someone's profile, it will show all their buildings like a "Starcraft base".

Another idea, the number of workers mining from mineral fields could be the average post count per day or something.


PM storage space could be overlords, file space could be supply depots, unless there's something that will suit each better. Comsat Station could indicate something with "spying", perhaps viewing others warn levels, and the warn levels could be cloaked units in your base. Ahh... the ideas. Oh make sure everything would cost their regular Starcraft amounts to make it more "realistic".

You know how signatures are composed of "--------------------" and the signature on the next line? How about allowing the user the option of customizing the seperator line.

So they can put any text in there, including allowing bb codes. And even the use of the line bb code.

It could be abused, by people putting random stuff like "fadhdahkjndahjkladfh" or making it appear to be a part of the post. The idea of a signature is to seperate it from the rest of the post, dashes or underscores don't really matter.

Then make it so text isn't enabled - just certain characters and such.
At least have the BBCodes work, that'd be a great idea.

And once your base is completed, It will be like having the maximum of green bars...

Not just a SCV, drone and probe too, but why buildings? why not ranks like into a stronger unit like marine/ling/zealot? then all the way to battlecruiser/ultralisk/carrier thing.

Dude they're working on it. They're basically making EVERYTHING from scratch. And even though they know how to do most of it, it still does take a while because of all the testing and new features. Don't expect it for another one, two, or even four months.

The whole "base" thing and buying depots to increase message counts and such and such might be a possibility... later on or something. Not exactly sure if I like this idea.

There will be no lines under member names at all, although if there was, it wouldn't be misleading. Underlining = link. With that association, I'm not sure if I want to include an underline bbcode. It tends to be poor online formatting style to underline things for emphasis because of the whole link thing. Don't you hover over anything underlined to see if it's a link?

So far the usercp and profiles are nearing completion, I just need to go through them again and fix them up according to my new procedures and do a little testing. PM/Notice system is like 75% done. Not sure about the forums, yoshi hasn't worked on them since april 10th . He's busy though.

I have two weeks paid vacation sitting around and I have to use them by my anniversary date which is july 9th. So, I'll probably take them june 1-14th. You would think I should be able to get a lot done during then, we'll see .

Add more space for messages.

Add a thing so when its your birthday, you will recieve a PM that says "Happy Birthday, __name__!!" and it includes some minerals. And make it so that it will have to wait 365 days or something before it can work again (so people don't keep changing their birthday to the next day). Or just make it so if you get caught changing your birthday to "tomorrow" every day, you get like -5000 mins or something, some kind of punishment.

Make a different type of poll that has check boxes instead of radio buttons, so you can vote for more than one thing. But make it so if you check two things, it adds a .5 vote to it. etc.

We've discussed that already, probably in this topic even. It wouldn't be .5 of a vote though, that'll be retarded .

I like the 'Base' Idea, but i think it would be even cooler if we would get minerals for posts still, but we would use those mins to make our base, like purchase your buildings, and have it like an SC game where you need the building tree. Then have it like so you can make an army or something and that would be your new rank, like army size =

For the your rank = a unit idea i think it would be cool if we would choose our race -or- each race rank would be something different, i cant really think of anything but that's be kinda cool, i suppose. Oh! Like, your rank in terran units would be like how helpful you are [based on your 'map assistantance forum' posts] and then zerg on your total post count and toss on your w/e. Another suggestion
