I've always been a great fan of RPGs on SC, simply because I know I made one and the amount of time and dedication and skill it takes to do so. I've always thought that RPGs showed the epitome of a map maker's potential, because the map maker must create all aspects of the a game, a game within a game, from bottom-up. I tip my hat off to you. Don't make us disappointed.

Updates:
• Tutorial on how to use the Console(Menu's, Specials, Spells, Items, etc...) is almost complete.
• Text based shops are on there way.
Once I complete the shops and Console, I'll add enemy units and start on the Turn Based fighting. Then, once I have my Turn Base battle system finished, I'll release a demo. Meaning, you get to play the first boss! Oh noez!

Bah... I think I know what you mean. It takes forever to finish an RPG. I've been working on mine for month's, and it is only like... 5-6% complete. Meh.... It's because there are quite a few things that SC doesn't let you do with out modding. Which really sucks... But, anyway, thanks for the support. And trust me, I won't let anybody down. This map means a lot to me, so, I am almost 100% that I'll get everything I want into it.

A few more minor updates:
• Text Based Shops are about 50% complete. Give or take a couple of weeks, and a DEMO will be released. The Demo will contain everything up to the first boss. You'll get to fight the first boss, then, you'll have to wait until I finish the rest of the map!

Well... I have a few Wav's I'd like to put into my map. But, I still don't know yet. If anyone has wav's that you think would go well with this map, let me know. I am more than willing to Download them and see how they are!
What kind do you need? Background? Pick-up items? Anything of that sort?
Mainly, just a background music.

What type? Soft, Action, Ranchy (farm type)?
EDIT: If you see a map with a good wav you want, just ask me and i can get it.
I would say something like a sad, slow song. Because the map isn't like one of those:
"The Man Who ALWAYS WINS!" This map is more like a real life type of thing. I would say a song that is somewhat like the song in Legacy of Haen.
I do not want the same song, just something along those lines.

No. It isn't done.
I was unable to work on it for about 6-8 weeks about a month and a half ago. Also, I am not rushing through the map. I am taking my time on it so I know that everything will go exactly as I plan. Overall, I would say the map is about... 8-10% complete.
Now that the terrain is finished, I'll be able to get more done. Triggers are much easier to me. Terrain is like an art form, and I tend to take forver in utilizing everything I can with terrain. I want the terrain to be identicle to how I have it in my head. As of now, it's pretty damn close.

Ok this song is 10 seconds long This is what you do u play it and stop it when 1 second has passed say deleat every thing after this mark now you have 1 second of the song save it as?? FF7-1 now open FF7 again this time play untell 1 deleat before the mark then play it to 1 again and deleate it after the mark. and save this as FF7-2 now open FF7 wav again and do that step again untell u have 10 wavs. Now u get another song or 10 more songs or what ever and do it to all. Now lets say you have FF7-town FF7-battle FF7 castel FF7 quest. And they all are cut up into millions of lil wavs. Now triggers
player-8 or wat ever has 0 zergling death counters and has 0 hydra list death counters
the zergling is for the song the hydra is for the wav play wav-ff7-1 wait 1000 set death counter hydra to 1
now u have 0 zerglings and 1 hydra use this to play the next section of the wav.
so now u have all the triggers set up
So u walk into town and out side of town theme song stops right away because u set zergling death counters to 1 and now the new song starts playing right away. BUt u wont have to put huge waits and stuff and loop differnt music together they all stop right away and play right away.
This is ganna be in my new rpg!!!
And i can say it will make ur map alot better. But this will probly be only for sen members because they will have to dl it from the site so it wont take 10 days!! but lol for all sen members i bet they will love it also!!

I haven't done it yet. But, for every song I add, it eats a string. So, if I added like 40 pieces of a song, that's 40 strings!

Ok ok i read your post on the other rpg section you said its better but where comes the interaction which makes it a online game and also if its gonna be 1 player it doesnt mean its gonna always be fun. i mean i can see how its gonna be better and stuff but it can also be a lot better with more then 1 player.. how about like 3 player, its lot less work then 5 player i mean do you get what im talking about... Why does it have to be 1 player where you play all by yourself... and your map doesnt go out...
Making maps 1 player is a very good thing.
Here goes "The List"

• Save Locations
• Save Units
• Save Time
• Better Story
• Better Character Development
• Better... A lot of other stuff.
Basically, when you make a map One Player, you save a lot of junk that you can use to make your map that much better.

I have a awsome move it would be slow.. make a zergling go on the location and slow the unit down ^_^!! That would be cool and also help alot!
