Wow, lol that's exactly what i had in mind, i thought about my corsair system that i used, to keep it off the cliffs... and i thought instead of keeping it off, why not activate it to enter something. Ha great minds do think alike.. I was almost worried you used cloaked buildings and make it look horrible...

Your post ealier gave me the idea. Though I'm not sure if that's what you intended specifically.

The other way would have been to detect elevation, as the cliff edges of the chasms are high ground, which could also be used to detect proximity.

Anyway, back on topic: Hell. I've got a bitchin' idea for a final boss, which involves both a heavenly churchish thing that turns into a hellish inferno. I'm trying to think of a good way to implement a hellish effect, though.

have cannons and depots cloaked, when hell comes, heal cannons and fire the depots..
then trick the comp into casting darkswarm on the church and have DTs around to show the redish blood everywhere, that's what i think of. Since you can't move sprites such as the ashworlds sprites... Hmmm, maybe even give the boss that awsome powerup effect i made biggrin.gif.

i had another idea for it, line up a bunch of burrowed lings at a cliff or sumdan, have a player with a wraith with a location following it, and when a ling is at the location move the wraith to its location, a way to limit air units or something...
i dunno....

wow this post is acting up, it deleted the first sentence when i added those other few sentences and i had to edit it and stuff... either that or im sleepy... i dont care anymore i gotta sleep...

That'd take up too much units, so don't go *sighing* around like people are ignoring you.

well i was thinkin small, only about 20 burrowed units to keep a flying unit inside a little bay or something, and besides whats the unit limit for a map? ive never had to worry about it, and i havent heard of any1 who has, but i might be wrong...

The area is somewhat large, and the terrain for the edges are solid, so I couldn't place any burrowed units on them anyway. With its size, I'd end up placing upwards of 500 burrowed units to trace the edges, if I did that.

why don't you try to move a burrowed unit under the corsair? if it doesn't move don't let the corsair move using that location wall system.

The problem has already been solved, if you read the previous posts, we were already talking about it, and yes, you explained it exactly how i think he did it. Try to read others posts first please biggrin.gif.

Back on topic alittle back, now that that's over... Tux needs an idea for a devilish church hell, but it has to look peacful and nice in the beginning..

If you need it to turn into a hell, then make a ton of zerglings while it is transforming and then kill them all to make blood everywhere. Or if you dont want them to be created, stack burrowed ones and then make them all unburrow and then die.

That's kinda crappy, and you could just kill them while they are burrowed and it would work too...

Without a mod, i can only think of having the church drawn in 2 different places exactly the same, then when it change's move them and their screen to the hell version in a different area, but i do know space is not a possibility for your map so that won't work. If you did though, it would be cool but rather excessive to move them from their relative position in the heaven church to the hell one. I'm making a sorta mirror type thingy, that will kinda do the sorta thingy.

You have them die while unburrowed so that they are spread out. I suppose if there are no detectors or allied vision, then spreading them out wouldnt matter. I didnt ask.
