OK, first off

News Channels:

ABC
CNBC
MSNBC
CNN(not as much as others)

the list goes on and on.

Second:

I keep hearing that we went into Iraq for oil...ok then...where is my oil?  We have been in Iraq for a couple of years, its stablized enough for shipping, where is the oil?  Gas prices are stilling rising, where is the oil??? Hey the sky is green, just you wait it will turn green!

Drilling in the Artic:  Where we plan to drill has almost no wild life and is extremely remote.  Maybe a few animals will be effected, Im talking in the 10-90 range, not more then 100.

Patriot Act:  mmm ok so how has it effected you at all?  If you are a good person then you have nothing to hide.  Are you hiding something o_O????

I'm gonna watch all those news channels for myself, and see if they really are "liberal".

Chris, if we didn't go there for oil, then please, tell me why we went from, GOING AFTER OSAMA TO GOING TO IRAQ. those are 2 diff things. President knew people would not seperate both the incidents.

As for the patriot act, I thought you conservatives thought down the road. You have any idea how much :poo: it's gonna cause dozens of years from now? (Considering America lasts that long) If this act came out in the 50's, and it was used to protect us from mainly terrorists, (Like it is now) conservatives would call it a communism tactic to destroy our traditional rights of America.

The Patriot Act won't be put into a law again. Most the burocrates saw how big of a mess it caused throughout the USA (Cops could say you're a "Suspected Terrorist" and could wiretap (Which is illegal) your phones, and cut into your personal business.

If the Senate and House are dumb enough to sign another bill like that, i'm leaving.

Are you saying it is okay for the Bill of Rights to be thrown out the window?

If so, you're very stupid.

Last national news broadcast I saw, they were leaning towards putting 14 of the 16 clauses permanent and the last 2 with a 10-year sunset. Doesn't look good... disgust.gif

We went in to remove a burtal dictator who has killed hundreds of thousands of people himself.

Well I beleive we need something like the patroit act that doesn't interfere with the bill of rights, but makes us more aggressive against terrorists.

I'm talking about the korean dictator, not saddam.

Yea the world isn't perfect but at least we can try to make it as good as possible smile.gif

yeah i know you were talking about Kim i was saying we invaded saddam when we thought he had WMD's but do nothing to North Korea; my point is just we went there mostly for personal gain while justifying this invasion whith other stuff.

Still no one is justifying our support for the past dictator shah in Iran pinch.gif

Sorry for the confusion, i was trying to compare them and say that we are in Iraq mostly for personal gain, not to take down a dreadful dictator. (just trying to prove s.t.a.r.s wrong about why we went in there.)

come on people shah tell me.

Thanks to bush, we are now fairly confident North Korea has overstepped its limitations on the use of plutonium and now has nuclear weapons.

i think that was established in Clinton's terms? If not, true dat, true dat.

Under Clinton we had cameras and reporters in there monitoring the use of plutonium. Bush simply rolled over and allowed them to be kicked out.

Chris, there is no reason why we went to Iraq, except for oil. That is the only one. If we wanted to protect our selves from an actual threat, we would've gone to north korea. If we wanted to free people, we would've gone to south africa. Why the hell did we go to Iraq? Honestly.

As for the news, they won't seem liberal to me because I'm liberal? What kinda logic is that? It don't matter what stance you are, you can still tell if something is liberal or not.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2005-07-26 at 21:00:56
You're not going to change his views on anything. He is under the illusion that the war in Iraq is justified because we are "Fighting Terrorism" (Shouldn't we be fighting outselves????)

And yes. It was good we went in and got Sadam out. But like I have many times, we should have gradually pulled out instead of staying in there!

But I agree. Why don't we go and get the people who are threats to us? Or are we really in it for personal gain...?

What Chris was trying to say is that, for instance, something may seem right to someone just because they follow a certain belief or not.

Where is the oil??? Please tell me....Im still paying hell at the gas station and the prices are STILL rising!!!! Please tell me where this oil we are taking is??

Like I said before, middle east first, africa next. We can't invade every one at the same time silly smile.gif

Actually you would say fox news is right wing, I would say your wrong but I know for a fact that fox news is right wing. Thats my logic that if you agree with something.

And just to tell you kellimus you are just as hard as a brick wall as I am in trying to convince each other that we are right/wrong wink.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CaptainWill on 2005-07-27 at 22:43:21
The price of oil is rising for several reasons, one of which is because the USA invaded Iraq. Other Middle-Eastern countries have raised their oil prices because they hate the US meddling in their affairs.

Also, don't complain about your fuel prices when we pay 4x as much per gallon.
