Since I reformated, I kept the starcraft folder on a CD so I have the map, but my starcraft won't install, it freezes while installing Stardat.mpq, so if it's not much to ask, I'll jump out of the tourney, so can I have my 250 minerals back?

Your not a judge please don't comment on other people's maps. I am sure that the judges can have their own opinions but it is common sense to let the judges judge and wait until after the competition is over until you share your opinions

ADDITION:
Btw i agree with you. but lets face it. what if everyone said that and then the judge thought differently...everyone would be pissed off and saying "come on, we all think it sucks/owns so you should to". The only way to have fair judging is if they are unhindered by the publics vote UNLESS Syphon wants the publics opinions.

hmm, you can sign me up I guess. Does anybody remember how to make square terrain with regular Staredit. You can like use an undo glitch trick to make it squared.

There is no glitch in vanilla Staredit that makes square terrain. It is simply put, cannot be done. Unless your computer crashes explorer, Starcraft, StarEdit, and multiple other programs at once. Of course, to do that, your computer would probably already turn off by itself = virus + malicious code, and lots of it = pr0n * 10 to the twenty-third. however, you can square terrain in WCIII vanilla (mostly from converting a cliff from dirt to cityscape type cliffs, and have it not work completely).

The worse one.

That is the answer to your question. Disregard my former response.

No, it can be done. Well I'm at least certain for Macintosh computers. Somebody posted it on here a long time ago but I can't remember the key words.

Please don't patronize me, he posted the map, and I commented. If he didn't want feedback, he wouldn't of publicly posted it. If that map wins since of "originality" then all traces of professionalism has been lost.

Whatever it is it's restricted. Any extended terrain will be rejected.

Can I request that if you play the map I'm submitting, that you play the protected version? I'll still send in an unprotected version so that you can look at the triggering. Is that OK?

It doesn't matter because then everybody will use extended terrain and tell they did it in staredit. Map will be rejected when any extended and non-staredit terrain/trigger/anything will be noticed. No exclusions.

Omg whats staredit vanilla? And where can i download it?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Urmom(U) on 2005-10-12 at 16:44:50
its what comes with starcraft when you originally downloaded commonly know as the Starcraft Campaign Editor. you can get to it also by opening starcraft and clicking on its icon instead of multiplayer or single player.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by InfestedScag on 2005-10-12 at 16:48:40
Then why do you have to add vanilla? Can't we just call it stareditor or campaign editor?

they made the word vanilla to mean original for something. since there is other modifacations of Staredit, they refer to this one as the vanilla version.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Merrell on 2005-10-12 at 18:52:15
Starcraft vanilla is the original game, but you can just call the regular editor "Staredit Campaign editor" or something..

Vanilla Starcraft has nothing to do with the editor.
