Don't forget to make it Opera-proof.
The only current thing for me is centering --;;

I dont think you get it. Have you ever used the search button? It searches for POSTS that contain the words you typed up. You didnt have to search all 17 pages. Duh

You know, Yoshi should put up a list of things that we said no to, and a list of things already going in...
Things that are going into Senv5:
What we deem 'cool' or useful
Things not going into Senv5:
Stupid things
Things member's thought of that we already have planned:
Lots of stuff
Things member's thought of we didn't think of and are considering:
Like 2 or 3
This topic is somewhat pointless... it would be more beneficial just to wait until we are testing senv5 and get feedback from users seeing the actual capacities of senv5 - That way, it'll stop suggestions that are already planned or pointless ones.
I would think this topic useful because then you can just go through and see if there is anything that could/would be of use. Then just ignore the other ones that are pointless, kinda dumb, and already doing/considering.
But a feedback thing... isn't that one thing this forum is mainly about?
You could just remake this topic after you update to SEN5.0 so that you can maybe get a few ideas then, and hope that people will actually go through what you added.
When you are testing are you going to actually update the website (or partially update) and put a thing saying "What do you think?" or are you just going to select some people (like moderators and such) to just privately view them?
I already told you this one Yoshi, but...
PM feature..."Delete after reading..."
If you add a "Delete after reading" then what happens if you accidentally close the screen? poof, all gone. Never to be seen again. Even just recently I was going through my past PMs to find one.
Make a checkbox that will delete the PM when you leave that window (like if you press reply or something). Then if you accidentally close the PM or something happens it isn't deleted. And you can save the important ones.
No, put it in your UserCP setting to have it autodelete after reading. Then have a button on the PM screen that says "keep" or something.
Auto delete after replying box was planned...
But auto delete after viewing? I'll consider it.
I doubt there will be an option in the usercp to auto-auto delete though. Perhaps.
*cough*
i cant stand how many people ask "how do you people make those sigs" and things in the creative forums, could you please put up the top (like the serious discussion forum, with the box up the top) that says the most common program is photoshop.
i also cant stand how we dont get post points for posting in the serious discussion and creative forums (and games) could you please let us have post counts for that, or at least for the serious discussion..
and having a "shout" count may be an interesting idea, for instance, you have the post amount, then under it says the shout amount, and you could buy items from the shop for shout posts...
then again, that may encourage spamming in the shoutbox.
this is alil off the current topic, but still has to do with senv5, and a suggestion for it....... well here it is
i noticed that the lastest news section scrolls down (currently) to scmdraft prerelease 8. possible updating the page and making it not so long would not only improove upload speeds for those people with a poor connection, but also it would be less cluttered
.
I have an new idea because off the new forum section mods.I think there should be be a mods downloads section.Because i think over time there is going to be people who want to upload their mods.
You obviously haven't been reading anything from this forum or the news post.
Did ip decide to put in the thing with the whole "base" idea in personal profiles?
If I (we) ever decide to do something like that, it wouldn't be in the initial release of senv5. I'm not going to hold the page back to implement something like that.
Hey, i want that favorite topics, it sounds good ta me
Hey I just thought of something that I really miss from old v3 times. You should bring back the post customizer where you can have it automatically make you post in the font and color of your choice. (without taking the time to add BBCodes, though I might do that just for effect)
how about a feature at the top that shows new maps have been put in database
?! cuz i hate having to search through all the files
Towards the bottom of every page in the DLDB you will see a table off to the left that says:
> Stats
Files: 2108
Downloads: 356977
That shows how many files (not maps) are in there. Which is a close enough estimate to how many maps are there (roughly 1600).
The stats are really complete lies, it says my post per day is 5.30... it was 2 months ago... I never look at that crappy thing. EDIT- its changing back now, but even when i had 4 posts per day it was like that.
Dont forget about the shoutbox, i mean, it doesnt even have me on the list. Im actually the 2nd top poster...
Unless it changd while i cant view them.
I can't believe I'm not in any of those "Member Stats" in the Site Statistics.
Could you make it so that Only 3 or 4 news topics are displayed at one time?
We're hoping to make things more customizable, yes.
will it be possible to have a symbol thing kinda like the smilys but its like
ex:tm,copyright,overlaping s,and many others
