Maybe keep Spell Failiure and give them some sort of offensive attack. Trolls always seem to be portrayed as being very resistant to spells.

It means what is says...
Trolls spells can sometimes fail to be casted, and they can have more resistance to magic like a water pokemon having resistance to fire attacks...
They do damage to the water pokemon, they are just more ineffective.

I like the idea of having custom weakness/resistances to each monster. I can do this by having this simple system when I make spells/skills...

Identify monsters that have weakness or resistances (about 25% of all the monsters to reduce the work load) and I will have the exzempt from the normal damage. I will create the custom weakness/resistance based on that by reducing single unit fireing time, complete null of your damage (Cast but doesn't attack), improoved damage by multipul casting of a spell unit in 1, and instant kill for an element perhaps.

Toll would be resistant to all elemental spells and have no weaknesses except for Mind. When you use Confuse/Terror/Attract/Death/Stun/Paralize/Poisen/Venom/Slow/Stop, and a few others that will be used in-game. When cast, I will designate groups of enemys for High, Medium, and Low chances to be effected by these spells and will be delt with accordingly in-battle. A monster that is immune to a spell will appear as a Null attack which will be the combonation of a Spell Failure( Spider Mine Explosion), Spawning Effect (Arbiter Recall) and an above explosion of a pre-cloaked protoss air unit. This will show a bounce of spell casting. And while you just saw your spell be deflected, you wish you hadn't used the 390 mana spell called Ultima. Lol

I am really trying to finish Continant #3 with doodads on the second half, but I keep reblending huge sections because of my aesthetics critique...

Progress is slow and I am hoping to finish DDB for 2nd half and then take a WCIII break... Lol

Thats a pretty good idea about the weaknesses get some D2 type game going would be awsome but it would be hard to do

Well... It will definitely not be hard. Its simple forking of conditions for slightly different actions. No big deal compared to some of the boss AI systems.

We are still on Pre Alpha and on version H as of now, I just finnished up version G Pre Alpha. Once we are in Alpha and Beta, they will be closed versions... Final version will be open testing. If you are signed up for Pre Alpha, you are signed on for all versions.

Versions A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and now H are major points in the creation of terrain and the earlier ones have major changes in triggering.

When Pre Alpha, Alpha, Beta are finished, i will release the latest test version which will be map protected and have game play time limits.

Small Update

-DDB on 3rd Continant finished
-Major reblends finished on Continant 3
-Terrain for Continant 2 in around 20% Complete, with 0% DDB
-Boss System Created (Secret, If you are Pre Alpha Offical Tester, Please contact me for this extra systems map)

Thankyou for all of the support from Offical Testers, I am still looking for more highly active gamers who know knoledge about Jungle Pallet and have good eyes and brains for terrain and trigger ajustments.

I can't tolerate uneducated, unexperenced, unacomplished people who think that they have ANY right to critique a piece with an accute accrascy to complain about 1 tile that, by just their 1 opinion looks wrong (which by the way isn't; because you have no knoledge of the jungle terrain, which I can proove to anyone : PCFred) and a random mud area which someone thinks mud doesn't exist below a ramp where water might collect if it was real... ( Demaris[7]).

Because of these new events when showing to the 3 "un" peoples, I will not be showing anyone outside the imediate circle of honored vistiors, and Offical Pre Alpah/Alpha/Beta/Final testers.

Hmm.. I usually don't think of trolls as spell resistant, but maybe it's because I usually think of them like in Dungeons and Dragons where they just have high regeneration rate, and you need fire/acid to do the last damage to them to kill them. Though I don't see how either can be done effectively with the way this is set up (it would probably need virtual HP to pull it off, and I already know you aren't using virtual HP) I think resistances is a pretty good idea in general though, would be dumb having a fire elemental get killed by fire or something like that.

I realize this is a late answer, but it's only automatic spell and skill upgrades, a computer has them researched and it would give you one of the computers units with the ability it's giving you, and then give the unit back to computer. At least I think that's how he's doing it.

The towns/mini towns are not on the islands themselves, but on a seperate part of the map correct?
