Ill say this 1 last time... We are not FORCING the players to be certain units... They chose who they want to be...
Sometimes it is better to have a sniper if you dont want to get in close and would rather stay back and kill... Mabe your team needs a medic... Mabe you like to use spells and abilites.

You Chose

Every class will have special places that only they can reach... For example the hacker can open doors... The medic can heal poison and can walk through gas because of the gasmask they wear. The sniper can fire from long distances and doesn't sue as much ammo...
Every class will have their own unique ups and downs

I hope this clarifys it...

If you read closely Faz- this is what My posy Highlights. It Highlights Knowing What Units to use together will make the map for "Pro or Non Noob Players".
You didn't quite understand what i was implementing.
The way this Map is set up, maybe some Pro Players could Scan the Game and Beat it first try(probably not). But After reviewing Skills for Different Units it'd be much Easier to Plan out a Strategy Next time. Noobs don't do that. Noobs Try to Beat a game first time off. But you can't really Judge a "noob". People call a Noob anyone who is a Little slow. Poor Slow People....(Noobs)

"... Newb's try to beat a game first time through, yet only Pro's can beat a game the first time."
Making things up that are unrealistic just makes you look dumb. Newbs on Battle.net that are experienced in something like this can seem like they are good skilled players, when they have just played the map to death to find the best combinations. If that makes them Pro's in your opinion, so be it.

I don't quite follow this thread.

Either...
A) Odd knows what he's talking about, and players can switch classes like from Medic to Pyro during the game, or

B) Players can't switch classes during the game, and because every class is required to win, there must be a full house for the players to win, because if there were only 4 players, then every class could not be chosen, OR

C) You don't need every class to win the game, it's just that each class does what it does better than the other classes.

Yeah, it's been a while...

Good luck on the map.

Or D) You have no idea what you are talking about because he has said multiple times that not a single class will be required during the game. He was implying that either a medic or a pyro is best as a support unit to complement the team the best and make it well suited to the game. By the way. Here are two mystery quotes. One is Odd before you, the other is you:

So it's C?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by TheOddAngel on 2005-02-28 at 19:53:03
Yes the answer is C...

You cant change classes in game... Refer to my post happy.gif^
This is geting really sad how people can't understand that you
dont need everyone to beat the game... An average party should
be inbetween 3-5 players because this map would be impossiable with 1 player

The Medic/Sniper/hacker are all the suport classes the Gunner and Pyro are straight forward attackers which have a good attack and good defence...

The Medic/Sniper/hacker should only be used by people who know what they are doing because noobs will most likely run right into a HUGE creature as a sniper and get murdered due to his low HP and Low Attack... Sniper Is ONLY For long range combat...

Medic And hacker... Stay behind everyone because they use pistols and are very weak... They have high HP and can take alot of hits but they will die before they do any real damage...

Blood I know your new here so try not to make any posts that are under 1 line long... Make them as long as possiable...

You get minerals and you get more respect if you take time writing long meaningful posts...

If you jsut right a word people will think of you as a spammer and will not pay attention to you... I tell you this as a friend and old clan member

lets stay on topic after this post... (for awhile at least)

Sounds good....if it ever gets finished.
Less "talking" about it more "doing" I'd say. You gunna make the terrain look a bit more realistic? Maybe use sprites I dunno. But at the moment it looks a bit blocky. Maybe a broken window now and again or a car on fire? These things are easy to do and are very effective. The layout and idea is a good one you've just got to make it work. Means more effort on the things happening now - terrain,
and less on what is "going" to be in the map.

Good luck with it anyways.
