The biger the enemy the more ammo you waste. Always have extra ammo you don't want to be without it. You will have to do missions like entering buildings and blowing up a reactor and killing all creatures in the area. You will also have to do some protecting missions while you protect a scientist while he overides the system and opens a door.[/center]

hmm, who do we play as? Suriviors/civilians? someone else?

Sounds like a nice map, and freaky. How much of planet earth can you explore in this map since its max size, that would be fun looking at all the ruins of structures fo whats left.

You will play as a survivor. I'm not sure how much but it wont be that much... It will mostly be 1 city because we are using the 3D buildings for our city. Also we will need space to make the insides of buildings which will limit it... thats what the monsters are for. Everyonce in a while you will get jumped by a pack of razors or a key in a building will turn out to be a monster that can shapeshift...

Im prety sure me an torrasque will be able to make puzzles and such to figure out... Pull switches to oppen doors... Much like Doom...

Sounds good Odd. Seems though you are using the same thing I did for my ammo system. If you have more then 1 player be prepared for a long trigger period. My ammo system for Doom3 had over 400 trigs. Anyway looking forward to some screenies and what not happy.gif good luck with this.

Players Increased To 5 Players

We have decided that there will be no weapon system we will use classes
The Classes Include:
- Gunner
- Sniper
- Medic
- Pyro
- Hacker

Each class with have their own abilites
Starting Abilites:
Gunner - Grenade
Sniper - Scope
Medic - Heal, Blind
Pyro - Grenade
Hacker - Computer Hack

The Medic will not attack but will have many abilites and will be a useful asset to the rest of the players. The hacker will have a basic weapon but will not be overly powerful, He is used for opening locked doors to get some First Aid Kits and Ammo.

NOTE: Medic And Hacker Should Only Be Used With A Minimum Of 3 People!!!
The ammo system will still be used but instead of having ammo as a medic it will be your first aid kits and healing equipment

Will the Medic have any offensive abilities? Because people might get bored and leave if they play medic and they can't attack.

There should be a puzzel like, You gotta pull lever's in a certain row, If you pull the wrong one it send's you back to the beginning, Like this:

The code will be: 1st lever UP 2nd lever DOWN 3rd lever DOWN

And if some one did it like: 1st lever UP 2nd lever DOWN and 3rd lever UP, They have to restart, I like puzzel's like that cool1.gif

I will find a way to stop people form leaving... The medic will be able to use poison as a weapon and can poison enemys later on... Also the medic has grenades and Blind... Far more abilities then any other person... If they wana leave because they can't attack they wont get far in the map without a medic wink.gif

The storyline is not very original ermm.gif But, the concept and the kind of map is great and it is definetley a map i would love to play!

The battle system sounds pretty nice. And the ammo system will absolutely pwn. I just want to make sure you take your time with doing the triggers for that system because if that system comes out bad, it will ruin your entire map!

The whole medic hero thing.... That will make things very boring for that player, if i was the one to play the medic, i would quit or not even play. The reason is, people who have A.D.D. (like me) will not want to just run around as some medic who all they do is heal everyone else. What you should do is have the medic use spells, have it so they can double wield swords or have a pistol or something...
I think the double weilding of swords ould be awsome. What you could do for that is have 2 zealot and have them be invincible and constantly move to a location around the medice and to control the teh zealots you would use hotkeys or something to toggle alliances... I don't know just have something to do other than just heal the other players...

The hacker dude will be pretty cool but he should be able to upgrade.

Im not sure if you've already came to this concept, but in my map im going to be releasing, one ability for the commandos is a flash bang grenade, and obviously it neutralizes enemies in the blast area for 6 seconds, and for a flamethrower with splash damage it would be great to work with, in my game grenades are standard so i used that as an ability. Just an idea to switch up the abilities between the gunner and the pyro. This could also be used for the medic to help his/her allies. By the way the game sounds great, keep it up.

The Fact That you have A.D.D.( and other people that are most liklely noobs) doesn't mean everyone will be bored with the Medic. Being the Medic should be stimulating enough because you're a vital character to the Group. Without Medic you obviously lose. And if you're bored as medic, you have Grenades, flashbangs, and probably a sub weapon later in the game.

So I don't think there's 1 thing wrong with the unit system, Medics Own!(After all they make Terran Infantry worth using).

Also l)ark2004, try not to quote a HUGE TEXT like that, it's a waste of space.

The medic does have special abilites and can blind enemy units making them not able to see you run past them if they are alone in the room... This is VERY useful if an abomination (Name subject to change) is in the middle of a room and you have to pass it. Also the medic will have a veriaty of grenades...

We are trying to simulate this game to make it real in a way that all characters will have a part in the team.

Dark,
The Ghost an all units can upg attack and defence I ment that he is considerably weaker... IE: Gunner Attack = 25 , Hacker Attack = 8
This will make him not the character of chice for most people and it would be unfare to rig a player with the highest attack and give him alot of abilites... That would stop everyone from being the other classes...

All classes are different and each person will have apeal to each of them... The sniper takes skill for using the scope while the gunner and flammer take skill by using mcro skills... It will be a very strategic and Team Game.

After reading more of aE[Fortune] 's spam....

I think that the best way to have a medic is to make it so that it can cast damage-doing spells, not simply restore and optical flare. For example, give it a mana system and allow the player to cast fireball or some kind of spell, and eventually allow the player to become a "Kerrigan." This way you can have a player stay constantly female. Also, you could allow the player to switch between the two classes, by using a gun or a health kit. This way the player will never be bored and can play the game solo as well, along with helping out hurt teamates.

We are going for more of a team game then a solo game. The medic shouldn't be used in sigleplayer anyway because it cant attack. This makes it a team decision what class each player gets...
